In addition to your teaching duties, you will carry out industry or consultancy projects to help you remain relevant in your profession and to evolving changes in industry, and maintain strong linkages with industry and schools. You will also have the opportunity to have industry attachments or experience on a regular basis to update your skills, knowledge and practices of your profession.

[What we are looking for]

You should have relevant work experience in Accountancy or equivalent. You should be able to teach in at least 3 or more of the following areas:

- Accounting
- Costing
- Auditing
- Taxation
- Accounting Software (e.g. ABSS/MYOB, ACCPAC/SAGE 300, XERO)

Knowledge and competency in any of the following areas would be advantageous:

- Business intelligence tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI)
- Innovative technologies (e.g. Blockchain, Fintech, Robotic Process Automation)
- Entrepreneurship

You would be expected to contribute towards industry projects and student development activities as well.

Those with good and relevant experience can look forward to Senior Lecturer or equivalent positions, with career development opportunities to leadership positions in the Colleges or Headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Finance Department
• Assist in cash flow management
• Handle full set of accounts
• Review AP, AL entries
• Review and approve the AP payments and staff reimbursements
• Prepare timely monthly management reports
• Review quarterly GST filing preparation and file GST
• Prepare tax schedules for certain GL accounts
• Prepare audit schedules for certain balance sheet accounts
• Liaison with external auditor on annual audit
• Liaison with insurance agent for annual insurance
• Prepare Financial statements
• Assist in General Office Administration and Provide support to HR and Admin Department
• Payroll administration (include monthly submission of CPF, SDL, funds) , tax clearance IR21 , IR8A
• Administer staff benefits and welfare
• Hiring and Recruitment (when necessary)
• Familiar with WPOL, EPOL submission

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Related field with relevant work experience
• 3 to 4 years of working experience in related field

The successful candidate will be part of the Group Payrolls department in Finance Division.

Key Resposibilities

• Timely Processing of Payroll Data
• Report employment income tax for foreign employees to IRAS
• Prepare and send salary statements after payroll run for overseas posted staff before pay day
• Processing of NS Make-Up Claims
• Ensure that Government Paid Leave Claims are filed timely and accurately
• Perform payroll accuracy checks
• Backup for reconciliation & reporting on payroll suspense accounts
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing for projects, system enhancements and bug fixes

Requirements

The successful candidate will be part of the Financial Planning & Control department in Finance Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, review and post monthly accruals for expenditure items.
• Handle divisions' queries on expenditure accounting.
• Review and monitor provision accounts and work with divisions/stations to clear provision/suspense accounts.
• Ensure that month-end closing activities (for example, amortisation of prepayments, raising of any required journal entries, etc.) are completed on time.
• Review and raise invoice/credit notes to subsidiaries/third parties on a timely basis.
• Assist with any required preparation of monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/annual reports.
• Assist the Executive in troubleshooting system issues, handling system enhancements, and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) where necessary.
• Assist in budgetary control procedures (for example, monitoring of operating expenditure against budget).
• Assist in annual operating budget exercise and/or forecast exercise.

Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.

The successful candidate will join the finance department in Engineering division in SIA.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely payment of Engineering Division account payables, receivables, fixed costs forecasting, budgeting & control
• Passenger and Freighter Aircraft Variable Costs Forecasting and Budgeting, and Capital Expenditure Forecasting, Budgeting & Control
• Asset Accounting (Spares, Capitalised Maintenance costs)
• Perform month end closing, prepare monthly schedules, timely and accurate accrual of expenses for the purpose of monthly reporting.
• Freight Invoice Verification and monitoring and clearance of suspense accounts
• Withholding Tax Reporting and Interested Party Transaction (IPT) Coordinator
• Scribe of Finance Meetings
• System enhancement/ implementation

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare group consolidation and perform financial analytical review
• Coordinate with subsidiaries’ finance leads to ensure timely and accurate
  financial reporting pack
• Prepare monthly Group management reporting pack & presentation deck
• Ensure monthly intercompany balances are reconciled by subsidiaries finance leads
• Oversees the month-end closing of holding company and several investment subsidiaries
• Prepare Group budgeting and forecasting
• Prepare board decks, SGX announcements and Annual report
• Prepare group financial statements & notes to the accounts
• Assist in Board Meeting and AGM/EGM coordination
• Liaise with external auditors, corporate secretarial agents, sponsors, and
  share registrar
• Any other ad-hoc financial duties assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accountancy
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, financial consolidation
  experience will be preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking
  skills
• A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
