The CN Yang Scholars Programme (CNYSP) is designed for students who have a deep passion for research in science and engineering fields. The CNYSP offers a rigorous and intensive multidisciplinary curriculum that encompasses all branches of science and mathematics. The programme is tailored to provide students with multitudinous opportunities in research, both locally and overseas. In particular, the Overseas Final Year Projects and research attachment serve to broaden the scholars’ global perspectives. At the end of the undergraduate study, CNYSP graduates are given an option to pursue postgraduate study (PhD) with a scholarship in NTU or Joint PhD overseas.

Aim to support the growth and various initiatives of the programme, this incumbent is responsible to assist the Manager in various matters to ensure smooth running of operations, which include admission and outreach events, alumni engagement and CN Yang Scholars’ Club.

Responsibilities:

Admissions Events:

• Coordinate with the Office of Admissions on the requirements of the admissions events
• Manage, organize and support activities and events in relations to CNYSP, such as NTU Open House, CNYSP Tea Party etc
• Liaise with vendors for marketing collaterals
• Attend to admission-related enquiries from the students

Outreach activities:

• Periodically review and enhance the outreach activities for tertiary education sector
• Manage and prepare logistics for outreach events

CN Yang Scholars’ Club, Student Enhancement Fund & Alumni matters:

• Review the event proposals to ensure that activities are aligned with university’s guidelines and conduct risk assessment
• Monitor and track the club funds and expenditure to ensure proper accounting
• Handle logistics arrangement for the activities and events organized or coordinated by the club
• Identify potential donors and maintain the alumni database

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in related disciplines such as Business Administration, Events Management, and Communication
• At least 2 years of working experience, preferably in the education sector
• Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Good team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work effectively and independently under pressure, with minimal supervision

Responsibilities:

• Handle billing/invoicing to customers.
• Communicate with internal and external parties, handle and investigate cases for AR related matters.
• Handle enquiries from customers on billing issues and outstanding balances.
• Update receipts from customers on timely basis.
• Prepare statement of account (SOA) and send to customers on timely basis and follow up closely on customers repayment.
• Assist in month end closing within given timeline.
• Process Intercompany billings and perform intercompany reconciliation on monthly basis.
• Prepare AR aging report on timely basis and escalate customers’ collection issues (if any) to the Superior.
• Prepare audit schedules related to AR.
• Any other tasks as assigned by the Superior.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business or any related discipline
• Minimum 1 year relevant working experience
• Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Application

• Fully in charge of all assigned MLO/NVOCC account for their requirements on all trade lanes and basic follow up calls.
