The Automation Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing automation projects from initiation through completion. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that automation solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Automation Project Manager will also oversee the deployment of automation technologies, manage project risks, and ensure that all project milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Management:Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeliness, resource allocation, and budgets.
   Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
   Coordinate and manage project activities to ensure timely and successful completion.
   
2. Stakeholder Communication:Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
   Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
   Facilitate meetings and presentations to review project status and address any concerns.
   
3. Team Leadership:Lead and mentor project teams, including automation engineers, analysts, and other relevant personnel.
   Assign tasks, set expectations, and monitor team performance.
   Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
   
4. Technical Oversight:Oversee the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions.
   Ensure that automation technologies align with organizational goals and standards.
   Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
   
5. Risk Management:Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
   Monitor project risks and implement contingency plans as needed.
   Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
   
6. Budget and Resource Management:Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
   Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements.
   Ensure that projects are delivered within budget constraints.
   
7. Quality Assurance:Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that automation solutions meet established standards and requirements.
   Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for improvement.
   
8. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical specifications.
   Prepare and present reports on project performance, outcomes, and lessons learned.
   

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, with a focus on automation or technology projects.
• Strong understanding of automation technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, or similar) are a plus.

Work Environment:

• Working environment will be hybrid of clients site (Singapore/overseas)

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience preferred and minimum 6 years of experience in product management, product strategy & market strategy
• Good Electrical/controls acumen
• Ability to lead processes or projects.
• Strong knowledge and product management mindset
• Proven implementation of best practices in running a high Impact meeting & storytelling,
• Ability to capture regional market requirements and feed back to global Product Management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and other languages a plus

• Lead teams for some of our group entities (trading agri commodities and processing/ manufacturing in nature) for their full spectrum of accounting and financial control function. Major responsibilities will include:

- supervising maintenance of correct and on time full set accounts

- timely and accurate preparation of financial, management and Group reporting including budgeting

- preparing for statutory and internal audits and ensuring no lapses

- statutory compliances in areas of direct and indirect taxation (review of tax filings and queries) and transfer pricing (including its documentation)

Job Requirements:

• Good leadership, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• ACCA / CA/ CPA and a good accounting degree
• Minimum 10 to 12 years of relevant experience with 3 to 5 years in trading/ commodities processing industry
• Conversant in accounting standards such as IFRS and company law
• Exposure and practical knowledge of transfer pricing regulations especially for cross border supply chain activities
• Detail oriented, hands-on personality capable of working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with some interphase of different time zones in which our subsidiaries may be operating
• Proactive with strong reasoning skills and ability to deliver independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical & critical thinking skills with ability to add value to operations
• Preference to candidates with:

- working experience in large audit firms

- exposure to SAP / Microsoft Navision systems

- the knowledge of Chinese local accounting systems, China mainland manufacturing operations of any FMCG industry, taxation and compliances is an advantage as 1-2 group companies are incorporated in the People's Republic of China

- Ability to read and write in Chinese language is an advantage as 1-2 group companies are incorporated in the People's Republic of China

- basic understanding of foreign exchange exposure, hedging and accounting
