Summary

To provide administration support to the Director of Finance (DOF) and the Finance Department in general, including taking maintaining files of all correspondence and statistical data.

Job Responsibilities

Credit applications:

• Process credit applications within 10 working days, ensuring that clients are notified promptly and professionally. The credit worthiness of all applicants is formally checked and approval must be received from the Director of Finance.

City Ledger:

• Ensure all invoices / statements are issued on a timely basis.
• Monitor the prompt follow-up of all overdue accounts and minimize the recovery delay.
• Monitors the special billing arrangements for groups and conventions as required to ensure that postings are in line with customer requirements.

Guest Ledger:

• Ensure PX and PM accounts are checked on daily basis and transferred to city ledger within 48hrs from the departure date.

Fixed Asset tagging:

• All fixed assets have to be tagged with Pullman Singapore Hill Street (PSHS) special barcode, which is generated manually by AA.

Fixed Asset listing:

• Records all movements of assets timely according to payment and disposal dates.
• Compute the depreciation according to the PSHS standard and record in the FA listing.
• Perform a monthly journal posting on the depreciation amount.
• Perform a monthly reconcile of the FA listing against balance sheet.

Purchase of new assets and disposal of old assets:

• Verify the completed evaluation form with all supporting documents by the respective Head of Departments (HODs) for the newly purchased asset.
• Verify the completed disposal form with all supporting documents by the respective HODs for discarding old assets.

Other duties:

• To prepare bank reconciliation by first week of every month.
• To check and ensure all Casual Labour claims are comply and tally with the time sheet submitted to Finance.

The Challenge

The doctor will be part of a team assisting in managing patients, with duties including conducting daily ward rounds, as well as supervision and teaching of House Officers. He/She will assist in running clinics, as well as assist in carrying out procedures and operations as permitted by the senior doctors. He/She will also be required to perform night duties as decided by the Head of Department, and according to the operational requirements of the Hospital.

Doctors employed for service provision may be granted temporary medical registration for up to 24 months, subject to the doctor's employment contract, conditions stipulated by SMC and the doctors' and institutions' compliance with SMC's supervisory framework.

These doctors may be eligible for conditional registration upon obtaining a postgraduate qualification recognised by SMC or fulfiling such prevailing conditions as may be specified by SMC from time to time.

The doctor must:

• be in active clinical practice;
• have a basic medical degree from an accredited medical university or medical school;
• have passed the relevant national licensing examination in the country of conferment of basic degree, where applicable;
• have evidence of at least 12 months housemanship/internship with a certificate of satisfactory completion of housemanship or equivalent;
• have at least 3 years of post housemanship working experience as a medical officer (or equivalent) in the relevant field/specialty or possess a postgraduate medical qualification in the relevant field/specialty
• fulfil the English Language requirements of Singapore Medical Council (SMC);
• have been registered as a medical practitioner in the country where he is currently practising in;

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Accounts Executive/ Accountant who will lead our accounting operations with precision and strategic insight. Your role will involve managing the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring the timely closure of month-end processes, and crafting insightful monthly financial statements for management reporting.

Responsibilities

Accounting Operations 

Spearhead the management of pivotal accounting operations, ensuring the seamless handling of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the meticulous maintenance of the general ledger.

Streamlined Month-End Closure

Oversee the efficient management of the month-end closing process. Guarantee the timely closure of month-end journals, accounts payable, and accounts receivable sections, underpinning the financial integrity of our operations.

Financial Statements

Take charge of preparing Monthly Financial Statements that are essential for insightful Management Reporting, providing a clear financial story that drives strategic decision-making.

Balance Sheet and Bank Reconciliations

Prepare and critically review all Balance Sheet Schedules, including bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting, and fostering trust in our financial health.

Audit and Compliance

Play a crucial role in the year-end audit by preparing audit schedules and assisting throughout the audit process. Ensure strict adherence to finance filing requirements, audits, and tax filings, including GST, safeguarding our compliance posture.   

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance.

A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work both independently and as part of the team.

Proactive with strong organizational and priortization skills.

Capable of multi-tasking, meticulous and attentive to detail.

Experience with Accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Accounts Assistant

• To assist in accounts receivables & payables (partial set of accounts)
• Handle all accounts receivable transactions for credit term customers.
• Handle daily cheques, Giro, T/T from customers and allocate these payments in the system.
• Handle daily cash collection and tally the amount received with the system and update the daily receipts into the system.
• Ensure monthly total receipts tally to bank statement
• Verification and check for unusual transactions
• Sending SOA to customers
• Attend to audit request
• Assist in processing of accounts payable transactions
• Issue payment vouchers and prepare payments
• Perform creditors statement reconciliation and resolve any invoice

Requirements:

• Singaporeans or PRs only
• Certified Accounting Technician
• 1 - 2 years of relevant experience
• Some experience in computerised accounting software and Excel
