Prof Derek Hausenloy’s laboratory aims to discover new treatments for protecting the heart from acute ischaemia/reperfusion injury and for preventing heart failure. The Duke-NUS Cancer and Stem Cell Biology (CSCB) Programme studies the causes and treatments of cancer and related diseases. The CSCB research groups have diverse programmes in both basic cancer biology and clinical-translational studies, with a special emphasis on cancers that affect the Asian community in general.

The selected candidate will play a key role in a natural products-based drug discovery program, conducting analytical chemistry, bioassays, compound management, molecular and cell biology, and biochemistry laboratory experiments under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate, including but not limited to the following:

• Support all aspects of the research project.
• Conduct extractions and fractionation of natural products.
• Execute cancer and other mammalian cell culture assays.

Job Requirements

Job Description

The incumbent will play a key role in working closely with the School’s stakeholders involved in undergraduate medical education, particularly senior leadership and key administrative partners of healthcare institutions, to ensure that funding for training medical students are accurately disbursed, payment disputes are resolved satisfactorily, and compile data for reporting purposes.
