The Signature Research Programme in Health Services & Systems Research (“HSSR”) in Duke-NUS Medical School is a centre of academic excellence for research and education on the organisation, funding and delivery of health services. The programme’s focus is on public health and clinical service innovation in an increasingly complex and connected world. The major research focus of HSSR is the organisation and delivery of health and social services in the context of an ageing population. The research methods include decision science and simulation modelling, survey research, qualitative research, health economics, and implementation science and evaluation. We are also developing a range of education activities for health care professionals including short courses, graduate certificates, Masters course and PhD programmes.

A research-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor based in Singapore is currently available, and the successful candidate will be expected to perform a variety of research activities within HSSR and Prehospital Emergency Research Centre (PERC). These include but will not be limited to the following: -

• Lead the design and implementation of projects aimed at understanding health services research, with a focus in prehospital and emergency studies.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, including designing, implementing, and analysing data for high-impact studies.
• Develop predictive models and machine-learning tools for enhancing emergency medical systems and triage processes.
• Lead research writing and management of grant proposals.
• Lead research activities relevant to the scope of HSSR and PERC.
• Draft research abstracts and manuscripts for scientific sharing and publication.
• Present research outcomes at international and local conferences.
• Mentor graduate students and junior researchers.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Public Health, Health Services Research or other related disciplines.
• Prior experience leading and completing research projects.

Job Description

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

Requirements

Job Purpose:

• Hands-on experience with knowledge of full spectrum of accounts
• Efficiently undertake a range of duties related to the accounting/bookkeeping/treasury function of the business.

Key responsibilities:

1) Perform full spectrum of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and fixed asset function for several legal entities including invoice posting

2) Ensure all disbursements for vendor invoice and staff claims are processed timely and accurately and comply to policies and regulations

3) Work closely with other functions to proactively manage and resolve payment and receivable issues effectively and efficiently

4) Cash management including funding requirement and managing cashflow

5) Prepare month-end reconciliations and journals

Requirements:

a) Accountancy in Diploma/Degree or equivalent certificate

b) At least 2 years of general accounting experience is advantageous

c) Has prior working experience with China accounts will be preferred.

d) Knowledge of VAT/GST and withholding tax is advantageous

e) SAP Business one experience will be advantage.

f) Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications.
