The "Mens, Manus and Machina—How AI Empowers People, Institutions and Cities in Singapore (M3S)" project is driven by the goal of investigating the nature of work, redefining our relationship with technology, and exploring how institutions can adapt to foster livability, sustainability, innovation, and social welfare.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that aim to develop state-of-the-art AI to create future smart cities. The Postdoctoral Associate is in the T7 project for the five-year M3S program in SMART. The SMART team seeks to advance the frontier of AI research, apply it to society and cities, and demonstrate the concrete social impacts of the AI algorithms with broad public acceptance in Singapore.

Specifically, the SMART-T7 project concerns the design of human-machine systems for the scheduling and allocation of valuable resources in ways that accommodate and optimize for the needs and capabilities of both humans and machines. The project aims to solve diverse use cases, including the stand allocation processes at Singapore Changi Airport and resource allocation on the Grab platform, as a paradigm for a broad set of other potential application contexts.

The problem of scheduling and allocating valuable resources appears in numerous contexts (e.g., transportation, health, public services, logistics) and scales. Many of these contexts share a set of common features. First, decisions regarding scheduling and resource allocation must be made in the face of uncertainty about the amount and timing of demand for these resources. This, in turn, means that plans must be updated dynamically as new information comes in. Moreover, a variety of stakeholders are typically involved and contend for the limited available resources, so that decision-makers must look for compromise solutions that “optimize”, in some way, the use of the resources, while balancing, to the extent possible, the requirements, priorities and social, economic, or demographic characteristics of these stakeholders. In short, these are complex problems involve multiple agents making multi-attribute decisions in a dynamic environment in the presence of uncertainty. Increasingly, AI- and ML-based tools are being brought by large organizations to bear on these problems and complement the expertise and experience of human managers and operators and the traditional decision-making support offered by more traditional (often large-scale) optimization models and algorithms. Optimizing human-machine interactions, training of humans and anticipating and mitigating potential societal, ethical, privacy and transparency issues related to these new tools are all critical aspects of the design of this next generation of scheduling and resource allocation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mark up the enquiries to be sent out for quotations and ensure this is done quickly
• Select suitable subcontractors for the works taking into consideration volume of work and location

Pre-Construction Stage

• Monitoring project cash flow against the forecast, with view to ensuring the project is always cash positive.
• Own and administer works packages delegated by project manager to final account, inclusive of monthly payment, dealing with variations and all matters pertaining to administering their subcontract correctly.
• Assist in change management, inclusive of the valuation of variations, quoting Request for Proposal (RFP)’s, issuing the respective notices, up and downstream, all within the timelines of the main contract.
• Assist commercial lead in all required commercial monthly reporting both internally and to the client.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct material and field research and verify facts before scripting for production.
• Provide advice to producers based on the facts/data gathered.
• Build script draft and sequence for content flow and eventually write good quality Chinese scripts for programme.
• Brainstorm interesting programme concepts and do presentation at pitch sessions.
• Source for talent and assess suitability of role based on requirement of programme.
• Source for location and assess for suitability and cost.

• Minimum a degree in education with 2 years of working experience.
• Passionate about the entertainment industry.
• A strong communicator and has a flair for writing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare meeting materials for production planning such as line-ups, rundowns and location surveys which includes schedule paperwork and camera scripts for Producers.
• Requistion of props and costumes.
• Ensure that all props and costumes are ready for actual filming.
• Manage talents and crew both in Studio and location filming and see to crowd control.
• Prepare production reports.
• Ensure there is continuity of costumes and props during production.
• Follow up on editing such as transfer and logging, dialogue dubbing and transcribing.

Job Description:

• Plan and control the delivery of project design to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and project objectives.
• Select and engage, then monitor the performance of external design partners within the discipline including their deliverables, cost and timeframes.
• Manage the design approval process in accordance with project requirements and program.
• Prepare budgets and schedules of design delivery for management approval then manage and report the cost of design delivery in the project life cycle.
• Manage design to ensure the cost of the works meets project requirements.
• Manage and review milestone deliverables from the Design Consultants to ensure the compliance and adherence to project schedule, scope and Design Brief, Stakeholders’ requirements and comments, statutory codes and regulations, and company guidelines.
• Obtain, review and consolidate Stakeholders’ feedbacks on stage deliverables, and relay such feedbacks as directives to Consultants.
• Manage client and stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively with the project team.
• Supervise the work of subordinate design and drafting staff to ensure project requirements are met.
• Select and develop design management staff within the project by providing leadership and mentoring to ensure their design management competencies.
• Understand design compliance and reporting procedures and processes and leadership in the communication of requirements.

Responsibility

• Responsible for high-performance block implementation (RTL to GDSII).
• Perform block level floor planning, power grid implementation, APR placement, timing optimization, CTS and routing.
• Close the design to meet timing, power budget and area targets.
• Run physical verification flows (DRC/LVS/EM/IR), and implement fixes to meet the requirements.
• Implement ECO’s to address functional bugs, timing and physical verification violations.
• Responsible for the generation and maintenance of block-level STA constraints and performing STA signoff checks.
• Responsible for timing model generation and supporting the successful integration of blocks into SOC.

Qualification

• At least 1 years of hands-on experience in digital-physical design.
• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in IC design， master's degree preferred.
• Experience with digital Physical design and Static Timing Analysis
• Experience in floor planning and routing.
• Experience in advanced process nodes (5nm).
• Good experience with Synopsys implementation tools (DC, ICC2), and experience with Cadence (Innovus) implementation tool is a plus.
• Experience in Mentor Verification tool, Calibre.
• Proficient in TCL coding, Perl/Python knowledge is a plus.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Bilingual to communicate with associates in China is perferable.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for ASIC design evaluation, document writing and RTL implementation of high-energy-efficiency chip;
2. Responsible for module synthesis and power consumption, performance and timing optimization;
3. Responsible for the basic function verification and formal verification;
4. Work with verification engineer to complete the functional verification;
5. Work with back-end physical design engineers to optimize constraint files.

Requirement:

1. Bachelor degree or above, major in microelectronics, computer, electronic information, etc.;
2. Solid digital design knowledge;
3. Familiar with the digital design and verification process and related tools;
4. Familiar with Verilog and system Verilog, familiar with script language is a plus;
5. Sense of responsibility, teamwork spirit.
