For Senior Lecturer:

•

Minimum 9 years of postgraduate teaching experience in practice-based arts at tertiary level or equivalent.

•

Minimum 6 years of proven professional experience in related design fields or tertiary Communication, creative computing, design education, along with a PhD qualification.

Required Expertise:

•

Substantial professional practice in communication design, design for interaction, brand communication, service design, experience design, or related design fields.

•

Profound knowledge of design history and theory, cultural and contextual studies, with active involvement in relevant design practice and/or established research projects and publications.

Additional Skills:

•

Additional duties encompass coordinating academic learning activities, overseeing academic administration and organization, providing feedback on assignments, conducting assessments and marking, mentoring students, and assisting with recruitment.

•

You will also play a key role in advancing the academic aspects of the programme, collaborating within a team, and participating in specific programme activities, projects, exhibitions, field trips, industry expert engagement, and interdisciplinary initiatives across faculties.

•

A strong commitment to teaching with a capacity to foster excellence in teaching and student learning. To attend the assessment marking, setting, moderation meetings, staff / student course committee meetings and the Academic meetings as requested.

•

Excellent communication, organizational, team working, and academic administration skills.

•

Positive attitude towards research, and preferably a demonstrable personal research profile.

Salt is looking to hire a Delivery Design Manager for a global tech client on a yearly renewable contract role. The Design Delivery Principal is responsible for design decisions related to a portfolio of datacenter projects which can include: new construction, phased expansion, retrofits and upgrades, acquisition conversions, mechanical and electrical equipment selections, and standards upgrades in either a specific region or globally.

Responsibilities:

• Owns and leads a design process, interacting with Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical Partners (MEPs), and other design partners to deliver a portfolio of world class datacenters with a strong focus on technical excellence, mission critical resilience and cost management
• Obtains site-specific conditions, utility and infrastructure design, costs and availability of utilities, liaison with planning authorities and local logistics including site logistics during construction and phasing
• Conducts the master planning of expansion portfolio using global design standards and templates; incorporating regional information to apply these to the inception of projects
• Maintains interpersonal relationships with internal technical staff, external design consulting partners, construction management, commercial management, and regional P&L holders to ensure appropriate stakeholder exposure
• Indirectly manages experienced electrical and mechanical engineering staff in the Independent Technical Review and Innovation & Development teams to deliver a portfolio of world-class datacentre designs on time and to budget

Qualification:

• 15+ years’ experience in a Design MEP Firm or in the design team of a Mission Critical Building operator or subcontractor, OR 15+ years’ experience as an Architectural lead in a Mission Critical Architectural Design Practice preferred.

• We would like to get on board a Telecommunication engineer (or similar) to work inside of the

railway communication infrastructure area, to develop and deploy communication transport

We are looking for one (1) Research Fellow for research activities in the following areas:

1. Theory and computational modeling of electromagnetism in media, plasmonic systems, and metamaterials, including cavity quantum electrodynamics.
2. Inverse design in nanophotonics or quantum nanophotonics.
3. Application of plasma modeling tools like particle-in-cell and magnetohydrodynamics to plasmonic or excitonic systems.
4. Study novel optoelectronic effects in low-dimensional materials and time crystals.

The applicants should have a Master's degree (for the Senior Research Assistant position) or a Ph.D. degree (for the Research Fellow position) in Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics. Preference will be given to those with a strong publication record, open-minded, independent, and able to collaborate with other team members and experimental partners. Ph.D. students (graduating within 6 months) with relevant expertise are also encouraged to apply. Senior Research Assistants are expected to pursue Ph.D. degrees upon completing the contract if deemed suitable.

Technical requirements:

1. Ability to formulate physical models and solve the formulated equations analytically or numerically.
2. Strong foundation in numerical simulation, including developing and modifying existing codes to include multiple physics.
3. Solid foundation in electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, material sciences, and computational methods like finite-difference-time-domain, finite-element, particle-in-cell, etc.
