What we need:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Design Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the end-to-end design and delivery process, ensuring the successful implementation of electrical designs for our projects. From concept to execution, the Electrical Design Delivery Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality electrical designs. This role will be based in Singapore.
Key responsibilities:
• Engineering Design: Ability to develop electrical designs, schematics, and layouts in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, security and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into overall project requirements.
• Project Planning: Contribute to project planning by providing accurate estimations of overall design delivery efforts, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of electrical designs to ensure they meet Digital Edge’s requirements, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Documentation: Create and update comprehensive documentation, including design standards, design guides and technical drawings to support the design delivery process.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks particularly associated with electrical design elements and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
• Consultant and Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with external parties for successful design delivery, selecting the appropriate components and ensuring compatibility for construction and operations.
• Testing and Commissioning: Support T&C function by validating Sequence of Operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the design delivery process.
• Communication: Effectively communicate design concepts, progress, and challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization
The successful candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5 years or more relevant professional and project delivery experiences in APAC, including design of hyperscale data centres.
• Proven experience in electrical design and delivery in a relevant industry.
• Proficiency in CAD, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with project management principles.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Professional engineering certification is advantageous.
