Job Description

• Report to Engineering & Technical department.
  
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and proactively interact with the other related departments for smooth transfer of information.
  
• Knowledge of mooring systems as applied to Oil & Gas / Wind floater and experience in stimulation software such as Orcaflex and Ariane etc.
  
• Learn to perform Finite Element calculations meticulously using NX and ANSYS software in Linear as well as Non-Linear methods.

Job Requirement

• Location – Singapore
  
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Naval Architecture or Offshore engineering) or equivalent
  
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in engineering department of a shipyard or design consultancy, of which at least one year of hydrodynamic and mooring analysis related projects.
  
• Proficiency using Orcina suite is a must.
  
• Possess strong AutoCAD and engineering drafting skills e.g., Rhino3D

Reporting to the Design Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing technical 2D/3D drawings/layouts based on specifications of clients.

A Day in the Life

• Prepare detail drawings and formulate project design packages using CAD and 3D software
• Collaborate with Designers on specific requirements for technical drawings
• Prepare specifications, verify accuracy and completeness of drawings
• Anticipate problems in manufacturing, assembly, installation and operations
• Review progress on site and ultimately be responsible for design quality and experience

We are looking for

• Diploma in Interior Design, Product Design or Architecture
• 1-2 years of related working experience
• Excellent knowledge of design tools such as AutoCad, Sketchup, 3D Studio Max, Illustrator, VRay and Photoshop
• Experience in retail store environments and design of retail fixtures is a plus
• Have a strong design sensibility and the technical ability to develop a project from concept to execution
