Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities preferred
• Strong knowledge of early intervention strategies, sensory integration, and behavior modification techniques
• Ability to create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Patience, creativity, and a strong commitment to supporting each child’s unique learning journey

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in special education or early intervention settings is a plus,
• Fresh graduates are welcome
• Familiarity with sensory integration and behavior management techniques
• Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to work closely with children with special needs under the guidance of our lead teachers. The ideal candidate will support the classroom environment, assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and work one-on-one or in small groups with children to enhance their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing and implementing lesson plans tailored to children with special needs
• Provide individual support to children during classroom activities, ensuring their participation and engagement
• Help manage behavior in a positive and supportive manner using approved techniques
• Support children with basic tasks such as eating, grooming, and toileting, as needed
• Assist in implementing sensory integration activities, speech exercises, and motor skills training
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher and multidisciplinary team
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and setup of special learning environments

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in education, early childhood development, or related field is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children with special needs

Job Requirements

• Must possess at least a Diploma in Pre-School (Teaching) / Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (DECCE-T), Diploma in Education (Special Needs)
• ACEY/L1/L2certified
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese language for Teaching
• Must possess at least 5 GCE 'O' level credits including English Language (B4) as a First Language
• Minimum 1 year childcare/pre-school teaching experience in Singapore
• Microsoft Office Application (eg Word, Powerpoint, etc)
• Singapore Citizen
