Assistant Cook duties and responsibilities

The primary duty of an Assistant Cook is to assist the Cook in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. Their main duties include

1. Daily Kitchen Duties

· Daily upkeep of the kitchens, including general cleanliness of food lab equipment, table tops, floor and sinks.

· Regular checks and management of utensils and cookware in the individual kitchen top and work station and to ensure that all food labs items are organized and accounted for.

1. Weekly / Monthly/ Termly Kitchen Duties

· Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the signs (safety and miscellaneous) and posters in the kitchens.

· Assist in the termly kitchen stock-take of the equipment and utensils as instructed by Food Lab Manager or the NFS Unit coordinator.

· Labelling and bi-annual cleaning of tabletops, shelves and equipment which are to be done at least twice a year during the test/exam periods or June and December Holidays.

· Termly checks on perishables in the fridge and other containers.

1. Additional Duties

· Support afternoon cooking programs that take place in the food labs.

Support school-based activities involving the use of food labs.

Working Hours:

· Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 3:00pm, inclusive of 1-hr lunch break (may be deployed for extended hours on some days);

· Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays;

· Service is not required on a regular basis during School Holidays.

Job Requirements:

· Basic certifications relating to food preparation and food safety;

· 2 years of working experience in related fields (culinary, food preparation etc);

· Has experience in store management and organization.

Audit Senior main role and responsibility is to lead various sizes of audit engagements which include planning, performing, reviewing of audit work performed by less experienced personnel and concluding the engagement with the ability to identify unethical behavior and react based on the applicable ethical principles.

Job Description :
1. Conducting full range of audit for SMEs from various industries;
2. Identify and discuss accounting and audit issues with managers and partners;

3. Supervise, coach and develop junior members;
3. Preparing/Reviewing of financial statements and communicate findings;

Requirement :
1. Minimum 3 to 4 years of audit work experience;

3. Preferably candidates who are pursuing professional qualification eg. ACCA, CPA, CA (Singapore);

Accountable for planning, coordinating and managing staff and services to ensure efficient and effective F&B operations and that customer service standards are maintained at all times.

Monitor supplies and inventory to make sure they’re used properly and efficiently and that we adhere to the store budget, manage Profit & Loss and forecasting of the business operational costing.

Monitor customers reactions and confer frequently with servicing staff or captains to ensure customer satisfaction, respond to comments, requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner, take personal responsibility to resolve issues.

Job Requirement:

At least Diploma/Degree in Management/Food & Beverage Operation or related certifications

Minimum 10 years’ working experience in food and beverage industry, preferably with management experience

Possess a comprehensive set of food & beverage service and operations skills, proven in handling customer satisfaction

Team oriented approach to management with a mindset of open communications, capable of building and managing relationships with stakeholders.

Knowledge of proper food handling procedures and quality management

Prior experience in a F&B environment involving in operations activities is an added advantages

• Basic understanding of office tasks and eagerness to learn.

You’ll make an impact by:

Customs

• Support customs advisory activities in accordance with local regulations and Siemens' global customs strategy
• Execute oversight duties for Singapore customs operational activities including restructuring, new set-ups, Free Trade Agreement application & tariff optimization
• Liaise with external customs authorities and brokers to resolve issues and ensure smooth customs clearance; collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize customs processes and address cross-functional challenges

Tax

• Tax Accounting and Reporting: Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax accounting and reporting packages, ensuring compliance with local and HQ reporting requirements
• Tax Returns and Submissions: Prepare and submit Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and GST returns to tax authorities, including thorough information extraction and collation
• Tax Query Management: Address tax queries from both authorities and internal stakeholders, including preparation of draft replies and resolution of inquiries related to WHT, international tax, and other tax matters
• Advisory and Projects: Participate in ad-hoc advisory and projects, covering areas such as process improvement, new tax laws implementation, M&A, and restructuring

You excel in:

• Degree in Tax, Accountancy, Business Administration or an equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in local Customs / Trade Compliance practices or Tax in Big 4, local firm or commercial
• Hands on experience dealing with Singapore Customs topics and/or GST is an added advantage
• Proficiency in working with SAP, MS Applications and other accounting software
• Team player with the ability to work as an individual contributor as well as partnering with colleagues across functions and businesses
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate initiative, a constant process improvement mindset, independent, organized with strong analytical skills and detailed-oriented
