Reporting to the Internal Audit Director, you will contribute to enhancing and protecting the organization’s value by providing risk-based assurance, advice, and insights. As an individual contributor, your role will focus on becoming a subject matter expert in Internal Audit, collaborating with management and business units to improve internal controls and support corporate governance and work with business and risk owners to manage risks and propose practical internal controls. Key responsibilities include assisting with the annual audit plan, conducting financial, compliance, and operational audits, offering recommendations for improvement, managing audit teams and overseeing outsourced providers. Additionally, you will be involved in investigations, advisory projects, and monitoring the closure of audit issues while supporting the business strategic transformation and governance processes.The ideal candidate is one who is a strong team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Skills and experience required
A recognised degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Background from public sector entities will be an added advantage.

Job Description

• Perform audit procedures during the audit fieldwork under the guidance of the Audit Senior and Audit Manager.
• Develop an understanding of the Crowe Horwath Audit Methodology and Caseware Auditing Software;
• Obtain understanding of the client’s systems of internal controls (accounting and operating procedures) and carries out independent testing of the client’s internal controls.
• Perform analytical review procedures and other substantive audit procedures for clients both based locally and overseas in various industries;

• University or Diploma candidates from Accountancy or related discipline and/or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proficient in computer skills in MS office.
• Possess good understanding in Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).

THE ROLE

Plan and perform financial and operational audits in accordance with the approved annual audit plan using a risk-based approach.
Design and apply data analytics techniques in assigned projects
Ensure assigned projects are completed in a timely manner and within the project budget allocated.
Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of the financial and operational processes and related internal controls and ensure compliance with the Group’s corporate governance framework.
Identify weaknesses in control activities and make value-added recommendations for process improvements.
Communicate audit findings to local management via conducting of closing meetings at the end of fieldwork review.
Prepare audit report to present the audit issues, risks and recommendations.
Prepare appropriate and accurate workpaper documentation in accordance with documentation standards maintained by the Group Internal Audit.
Perform ad hoc tasks and special projects/reviews as assigned from time to time.
Suggest improvements in department matters relating to systems, processes or documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Business Analytics or Computer Science / Accountancy or equivalent professional accounting qualification recognized by The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA)
3 to 6 years of audit experience with a Big 4 Accounting Firm or in an Internal Audit department of MNC
Operational experience in manufacturing industry an advantage.
Must be familiar with Auditing IT process, access management and systems
Proficient in use of auditing tools and techniques such as risk-based audit planning, analytical review, computer-assisted audit technique and data analytics
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong business communication, interpersonal and report writing skills

The Manager/Senior Manager, Internal Audit is responsible for leading the internal audit function to ensure the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. • Audit Planning and Execution:

• Chartered Accountant, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Job Scopes:

• Liaise with Head of Internal Audit to develop and acheive work objectives.
• Conduct internal audit across various areas including operations, finance, HR, administration, manufacturing and IT.
  Perform interview, examines documents and prepare work papers.
• Identify control activity weaknesses and provide actionable recommendations to enhance processes.
