The School of Humanities invites outstanding academics to apply for faculty positions in philosophy at the rank of assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor.

In line with the strategic development plan of the NTU Philosophy programme, we are hiring for multiple positions. The rank, area of specialization, and area of competence are open for all positions.

NTU’s philosophy programme offers a Major and Minor in Philosophy. It is a postgraduate degree conferring programme, with both MA and PhD students. It has particular strengths in ethics, Chinese philosophy, and philosophy of science. We welcome applicants who are working in the programme’s strengths. In addition, we hope to develop new research strengths. We also welcome applicants who are working in other areas such as metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, history of philosophy, political philosophy, philosophy of information, philosophy of technology, and digital humanities.

The successful applicants are expected to engage actively in research, teaching, and service in the subject area of Philosophy within the School of Humanities.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of systems and equipment, including warehouse systems, material handling and automation systems, refrigeration systems, kitchen equipment, packaging and inspection machines, washing machines, and waste management systems, etc.
• Ensure all maintenance activities and repairs are completed promptly according to assignments, schedules, procedures, checklists, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Oversee the technical purchase requisition of spare parts, contracts, and services in accordance with company policies to support maintenance activities.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders to minimize downtime of systems and equipment.
• Proactively resolve technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all Safe Work Procedures and Food Safety requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment through proper housekeeping of all work areas and promptly report any safety hazards.
• Perform and support additional relevant duties and project assignments as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience required.
• At least a Diploma in a related technical field.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP applications, and IT devices.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
• Candidates are required to carry heavy loads, and comfortable working at heights.
