A newspaper for the local Malay community, Berita Harian was established on July 1, 1957. It presents news and issues from home, the region and the world, featuring a wide spectrum of topics from sports to politics and religion. Other highlights include Malay culture and tradition, arts and heritage, family, hobbies and leisure. Berita Harian (BH) also provides a platform for the Malay community to voice their views on issues that concern them. It is a paper that speaks with authority and understands the needs of the Malay community.

As an Editorial Project Manager, you will be required to help coordinate projects, track expenses, ensure compliance and report KPIs as directed. You will manage Berita Harian’s campaigns and partnerships which are revenue-generating as well as projects funded by government agencies and other stakeholders.

While reporting to the News Editor, you will also be required to work closely with Berita Harian's Audience and Growth team to develop and coordinate Berita Harian’s annual activity calendar. You will also be required to manage and coordinate BH’s internal communications and programmes such as the internal news comm awards.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure flawless execution of projects
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and create detailed reports as required, to ensure comprehensive project documentation
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Develop positive relationship with various relavant stakeholders

Job Requirements

• Minimum degree in Journalism, Media Management, Business Management or equivalent from a recognised institution
• At least five years’ experience in project management, budgeting and analysis.
• An excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
• A team player and have a problem-solving aptitude
• Good stakeholder management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have knowledge in project management and some experience in media production work.
• Willingness to work on weekends/public holidays when required

This is a temporary 1-year contract position.

Remuneration: Basic & VB + $800 Flexi Dollars + $60 Mobile Allowance + 3 month performance bonus

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, with a focus on automation or technology projects.
• Strong understanding of automation technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, or similar) are highly advantageous
• Travelling out of country will be required (less than 6x a year)
• Candidates with experience from Robotics companies: strobo, hope technik, rockwell automation, omron, swisslog, would be highly advantageous
