Main responsibilities

HYCOMBS PROJECT

HYCOMBS: Hydrogen and Ammonia Combustion in Singapore

In the future, Singapore may be importing renewable energy in the form of hydrogen (H2) or ammonia (NH3). These zero-carbon fuels will require the development of new gas turbines (GTs) and internal combustion engines (ICE) used in power generation, aviation, and maritime propulsion.

This project focuses on the combustion fundamentals of hydrogen, ammonia, their blends, and their blends with hydrocarbon fuels. The knowledge acquired in HYCOMBS will enable the penetration of zero-carbon fuels in the Singapore energy system and this will benefit Singaporean industries and residents.

DESCRIPTION

The HYCOMB project aims to develop a deeper understanding of hydrogen/ammonia combustion phenomena and improve the efficiency, stability, and environmental sustainability of gas turbines and internal combustion engines. As a Postdoctoral Researcher in WP2.1, you will play a key role in deploying advanced diagnostics to study laminar H2/NH3 flames, a crucial step towards understanding combustion instability and pollutant formation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate a burner for laminar flame experiments, compatible with high-frequency diagnostics
• Conduct experiments on steady and pulsated laminar H2/NH3 flames using spontaneous emission of radicals (OH*, NH*) and laser absorption spectroscopy of stable species (NH3, H2O, N2O)
• Modulate injection conditions to induce controlled fluctuations of velocity, which will drive the oscillation of heat release, pollutant formation, and other quantities of interest
• Measure local flow conditions using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) to correlate flame behavior with flow strain
• Collaborate with other partners to implement laser absorption spectroscopy in other rigs and validate kinetic schemes and simulations (WP1)
• Contribute to the development of laser absorption spectroscopy diagnostics for online detection of combustion efficiency, ammonia slip, and N2O pollutant emissions

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Combustion Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
• Strong background in experimental combustion, flame diagnostics, and data analysis
• Experience with optical diagnostics (ideally laser-induced fluorescence and absorption spectroscopy, but not required)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with international partners
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of combustion kinetics and modeling

Be the catalyst of digital transformation in the organization through new solution testing and planning for DX initiatives to reduce operational cost and overhead. Support DX initiatives within Finance department and help OpCos to implement automation solution by utilizing Power Platform to improve process efficiency and team productivity. Oversee all aspects of performance metrics management for order to cash processes. Primarily responsible for maintaining and delivering timely performance metrics report to OpCo’s MDs, CFOs and operational managers. Improve efficiency and performance metric visibility through continuous innovation using Power BI and to reduce cost and overhead in OpCos. Communicate response timely and effectively to enquiry from OpCo CFOs, operational managers, BPO service delivery team and other stakeholders within the organization.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

• Min 5 years working experience as business process analyst or as data analyst with proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform and excellent problem-solving skill to lead process improvement and transformation in Order to Cash or Contract to Billing domain

PURPOSE:

The Legal Counsel is to provide assigned business units with legal advice, to provide legal support to business activities and any strategic and operational matters and issues. This will include but not be limited to providing legal advice, legal support and contract review in respect of all contractual transactions (including but not limited to regional tenders, bids and all contract management related matters. RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• To provide competent and sound legal advice to the Company, the FB Group and its Affiliates in a practical, efficient and timely manner.
• To review/draft contracts pertaining to the business including but not limited to supplier contracts, customer contracts, inter-company contracts as well as regional tenders, bids, international sales/service transactions as well contracts with a global / multi-jurisdictional perspective.
• To negotiate with external parties (including but not limited to suppliers and customers of the Company) on legal issues and work to resolve any legal related matters arising between the Company and such external parties, suppliers or customers.
• To provide legal advice. legal support and work with the Company’s internal customers and stakeholders (internal functions) including but not limited to the sales/marketing department and all corporate support functions.
• To coordinate and co-operate with all related organizations including FB Asia Pacific affiliates, FB Japan, FF Japan, FUJIFILM Holdings and the overall FUJIFILM Group to work on contracts, legal matters and any other matters so assigned by the General Counsel.
• To raise and highlight all and any material legal issues to the supervisor / reporting manager / General Counsel and/or senior management whenever necessary.
• To provide legal support, guidance and work with the Company’s affiliates and any member of the overall FUJIFILM Group whenever so instructed, assigned and/or tasked to do so by the General Counsel.
• To take on any projects or tasks deemed appropriate and assigned by General Counsel.
