We have been evolving our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) over the past few years and are looking for an individual who will help us determine its future state. Our data warehouse needs to be the single source of truth when it comes to financial data produced throughout the firm. We are seeking an individual with Structural technical experience for the position of Structural Project Engineer at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd.  The candidate will work directly with the Project Manager and the subcontractors throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

The candidate will be accountable for ensuring the work required such as submittals, RFI’s, coordination drawings, updating documents, etc are complete, ready and approved for the steel subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on managing the structural subcontractor field operations and installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.  

It is expected that the candidate will be a very detail-oriented individual with previous experience working as a structural project engineer on data center projects and/or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands-on” work coordinating approved design documents and ensuring installed work in the field complies with such documents.  The candidate must have robust Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. • Manage the design deliverable packages and aid in the process to ensure that they are reviewed on schedule

[What we are looking for]

You should have at least three years of relevant experience in Facility Management.

You should have good knowledge in the maintenance of key facilities, especially Intelligent Building Management System, Air-Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) System or Fire Protection System in large industrial/commercial building, hospital, data centre or critical facilities.

Experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM), Building IoT and Data Analytic, and/or Smart FM will be an added advantage.

You should be trained in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent and familiar with at least two of the following:

- Cisco Networking Technologies - Windows Server Administration

- Linux Server Administration

- Cloud Computing / Operations (Amazon Web Services, Azure)

- Virtualisation Platform (Vmware, VirtualBox)

- Network/System Automation

- Scripting Languages (Bash, Python)

- IT Service Management

In addition, you should have at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in networks, windows and servers and be able to develop, support and maintain the DevOps tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. You will work with the development, QA, Release Engineering, and Infrastructure team to maintain a high quality deployment platform. Professional certifications in Cisco CCNA, CCNP, MCP, AWS Certified Practitioner or equivalent will be an advantage. You should have a passion and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youth, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
