The Water Treatment Marketing Support Engineer will provide technical support to the marketing team, focusing on membrane filtration technologies and water treatment solutions. This role involves collaborating with sales teams, customers, and engineering departments to effectively communicate product benefits, conduct market research, and support business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support: Provide in-depth technical knowledge of water treatment processes, particularly membrane technologies (e.g., Nano Filtration, Reverse Osmosis) to assist the marketing and sales teams.
2. System Design: Develop and optimize designs for membrane filtration systems, including Nano Filtration and Reverse Osmosis technologies.
3. Water Quality Assessment: Analyse raw water quality data to determine treatment requirements and evaluate the effectiveness of membrane technologies.
4. Membrane Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate membranes based on performance specifications and project requirements.
5. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance system efficiency and increase water recovery rates.
6. Troubleshooting: Support operational teams in diagnosing issues related to membrane fouling, scaling, and maintenance.
7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and compliance with quality standards.
8. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions that meet their specific water treatment challenges.
9. Training and Education: Develop training materials and conduct workshops for internal teams and customers on product features, benefits, and applications.
10. Marketing Materials: Contribute to the creation of marketing collateral such as brochures, case studies, and technical papers that highlight product advantages and applications.
11. Feedback Loop: Gather customer feedback on products and services to inform future product development and marketing strategies.

Qualifications

1. Diploma, equivalent or higher, with a major in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resource Management, or a related field.
2. Knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD is a plus.
3. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in water treatment processes or related fields with a focus on membrane technologies.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical teams, customers, and stakeholders.
5. Presentation Skills: Ability to present complex technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
6. Bilingual in English and Chinese is required.
7. Technical Skills:

6.1. Strong understanding of membrane filtration technologies (Nano Filtration, Reverse Osmosis).

6.2. Familiarity with water quality parameters and analytical methods.

6.3. Experience in market analysis and product positioning.

• The Research Fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. WU Zhe, on several research projects of optimization of chemical and manufacturing processes through machine learning tools
• The Research Fellow will help to develop both theoretical and simulation study of machine-learning-based control and optimization algorithms to chemical processes.

Responsibilities :

• Software Design: Develop software for various vertical transportation systems, including Housing & Development Board (HDB), private, and modernisation systems. Refer to approved layout drawings, production requests, machine applications, client specifications, and electrical straight diagram drawings.
• Electrical Diagram Review: Interpret and verify electrical straight diagram drawings from the Hardware Design Department. Identify and report any inconsistencies or errors.
• Documentation and Communication: Issue notices, instructions, software documents, and contract-related materials as needed.
• Factory Support: Assist factory testing staff with job software design and technical troubleshooting during system testing.
• Design Optimisation: Ensure that software designs are cost-effective and fully comply with client specifications and project timelines.
• Error Investigation: Participate in investigating software errors and develop corrective and preventive measures. Collaborate with the Electrical Department to address any discrepancies between software and hardware designs and resolve issues before shipping the system to the site.

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage the technical risk, security operation and SOC.
• Act as IT security expert for department in the areas of cyber security assessments, PAM, Database, WAF, Firewall and EPP/EDR.
• Perform risk assessment and identify mitigation controls for the risk area identified.

Responsibilities

• Administer, upgrade, maintain high availability, performance, and security of Linux, Windows, storage clusters, virtualization clusters (VMWare and Kubernetes), and critical middleware services.
• Oversee, monitor, improve infrastructure and critical services health through performance optimization, security hardening, patch management, service updates, and scalability assessments.
• Drive the adoption of automated practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning, configuration, and maintaining infrastructure.
• Develop, maintain, improve automation scripts and tools to streamline continuous integration (CI) pipelines and deployment processes for software development and IT operations.

Requirements

Educational Background:

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on, professional experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, software development, or a closely related field.

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in managing and supporting critical services across Linux, Windows, and middleware platforms.
• Strong background in Linux administration and management.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration, including AD, GP, Windows-based infrastructure services.
• Extensive experience in virtualization platforms (ESXi) and container orchestration (Docker).
• Hands-on experience in network and software-defined storage technologies (Ceph, NAS, NFS).

• Knowledge in infrastructure monitoring, alerting, logging tools (ELK Stack, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus).

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Bash, Python, Shell, PowerShell, Go, YAML.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and best practices in infrastructure management and DevOps.
• Familiarity with hardware storage technologies (DAS, FC, iSCSI, RAID, SAS, RAID).
