Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated candidates to join our team as Systems Engineers responsible for ensuring the
reliability and security of systems supporting core Internet service provider Network. In this role, you will play
a pivotal part in maintaining the integrity and availability of systems that support telco network, making a
significant contribution to our success.
Responsibilities:
Mission-Critical Systems: Plan, implement, and maintain backend systems for our telco network,
ensuring a 99.9% uptime rate.
Security and Monitoring: Implement and manage a monitoring stack for core network functions and
stay updated on threat intelligence.
Compliance and Vulnerability Management: Ensure timely completion of internal and external
compliance audits, collaborate with VA/PT providers for asset scans and vulnerability tracking.
Log Analysis and Incident Response: Review system and security logs, create rules for event
correlation, and generate analysis reports for critical incidents.
Infrastructure and Operations: Orchestrate multiple systems from various regions into a unified
topology for streamlined management, support day-to-day operations, and address queries from
internal departments.
Engineering Solutions: Design and deploy solutions for fast and accurate incident alerting and security
lifecycle management.
Automation: Implement automation using modern frameworks like Ansible to improve system
efficiency.
Cloud Services: Utilize cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) for network enhancements and costeffective
solutions.
Security Community Engagement: Stay connected with the security community in every possible way,
continuously learn about new vulnerabilities and exploits, and develop strategies to prevent them.
Preferred Experience:
Technical Proficiency: Strong background in Linux and Unix-based operating systems, with a good
understanding of carrier-grade networking concepts.
Security Expertise: Knowledge of firewalls and WAF/IDS/IPS solutions (Fortinet, Palo Alto, pfsense,
Sophos, Suricata, Snort, Cloudflare),and proxy servers (NGINX, HAProxy, F5).
Monitoring: Familiarity with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Cacti, syslog-ng).
Scripting: Ability to write scripts in languages such as Bash, Python, and PHP.
Hypervisors: Experience with hypervisors (ESXi, Proxmox-ve, KVM, Xen, Hyper-V).
Self-Learning and Organizational Skills: Ability to self-learn, think creatively, stay organized, pay
attention to detail, and multitask.
Carrier-Grade Networking: Experience in carrier-grade networking within a telco environment is
highly advantageous.
Tech Enthusiasm: Strong desire to explore and learn about new technologies.
