Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate as a research fellow in the Quantitative Proteomics Core in collaboration with the Kappei lab at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI). Our team addresses research questions on nucleic acid-protein interactions with quantitative mass spectrometry, cell biological and genetic approaches applied to cancer research and we further support research activities at CSI as part of the Quantitative Proteomics Core with quantitative proteomics solutions to study protein expression, protein interactions as well as post-translational modifications.

Proteins are the functional agents in cells, yet the systematic global characterization of their expression and spatial distribution has largely remained limited to the analysis of RNA as a proxy. To close this gap, we have recently expanded the Quantitative Proteomics Core to Clinical Proteomics applications with dedicated instruments including a timsTOF fleX mass spectrometer that allows for dual LC-MS/MS and MALDI imaging analysis. The research fellow will develop innovative workflows for both untargeted and targeted spatial protein imaging applied to the analysis of cancer tissues. Introduction

Within the module, you will work on the development of a Building Information Modelling extension that integrates workflows for existing building-scale circularity assessment methods into a BIM environment (using IFC standards, integrated in Revit).

This extension will be the design evaluation tool for the `Circular Economy Potential’ (CEP) model, a framework to estimate recovery reuse rates based on a building’s configurational characteristics (e.g. how spaces are connected, how walls are assembled, how services are laid out). This framework combines existing assessment methods for design goals related to reuse and recovery (e.g. design for disassembly, building adaptation, maintainability). We are looking for an experienced clinical monitor to perform the study monitoring in ADVANcing Clinical Evidence in Infectious Diseases Network (ADVANCE ID). ADVANCE ID is jointly funded by the Wellcome Trust and Singapore institutions including the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. The vision of the Network is to improve public health by developing the clinical evidence base for the prevention and treatment of drug-resistant infections. Its mission is to build and sustain a strategic clinical research network focused on most efficiently delivering locally relevant interventions for drug-resistant infections.

The Network aims to improve and strengthen clinical research capabilities in the region by acting as a platform to develop good principles and practices. It will stabilise capacity and capabilities to mitigate inefficiencies in trial start-up phase and loss of skillset following study closure, as in typical trial setup. The Network will continuously develop its capabilities, quality and efficiency by learning from and collaborating with other clinical trial networks.

In the long term, the Network aims to support broader infectious disease studies by expanding geographically beyond its original starting point in South East Asia and collaborating with other networks around the world. • Closely collaborates with the Trial Monitoring Organisation to ensure fast clinical trial start up, recruitment according to planned timelines, early identification of potential delays and robust recruit- ment mitigation plan. Co-own start-up phase and the recruitment plan for development clinical trials with the local TMO organization.

• Provides robust indication and protocol training to CRAs and CSEs

• Provide protocol, Risk management plan & disease training as appropriate, and externally at Investigator’s Meetings or scientific venues to support recruitment and trial awareness.

• Assess the clinical feasibility of implementing a clinical trial protocol based on regional/local medical practice using physician interviews, local databases (RWE, payer data, patient association feed- back, etc.) and analysis of the competitive environment

• Provide medical/clinical assistance to TMO and site for IEC/IRB Interactions

• Review country or site specific Informed Consent Forms (ICF) and ensure accuracy of translation of information related to Development clinical trials /NIBR PoC studies when translated into the local language, including the patient narrative where appropriate

• Support Ministry of Health interaction (or local Board of Health) as required. Perform local AE review for development compounds and provide general medical support for safety issues.

• Support Regulatory Affairs, Health Economics, Drug safety and epidemiology and Medical Information with medical/clinical input as appropriate as this relates to global development clinical trials and NIBR PoC trials. Support planning, implementation and follow-up of regulatory agency inspections and internal audits

Essential Requirements

• A degree or equivalent experience in scientific or health subject area required

• At least 3 Years clinical development experience in pharmaceutical industry

• Understanding of the overall clinical development and ICH/GCP

• Ability to handle a study from the medical/clinical perspective, and a proven capability to problem tackle and mediate sophisticated- clinical / medical / operational issues

• Agility to move fast across different therapeutic areas and indications

Job Purpose

To collaborate closely with Clinical Lead of Company / Medical Affairs department to set up the Medical Affairs of Company, develop strategies to enhance the effectiveness of its clinical quality program within the organisation and to identify and work on developing quality models, design and implementation of audits and risk management activities. To ensure accurate data collation and validation which includes clinical performance indicators, and timely submission to the Ministry of Health and various agencies. Additionally, to run Company's Quality Assurance (QA) and clinical services related committees.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

Set up and run the following QA and clinical services committees in functions such as organising meetings, preparing relevant reports for meetings, recording minutes, and ensuring that follow-up actions are taken after the meetings.

• Credentialling and Privileging Committee

For clinical performance measurement: Monitor and collate data for

• Hospital-wide Dashboard
• Healthcare Performance Office
• QIP indicators - hospital wide clinical quality indicators
• Other indicators

Collaborate closely with relevant data/ operations teams to ascertain the precision and validity of data, facilitating the timely submission of the performance indicators report to the Ministry of Health.

Ensure that drafts for new or revised clinical forms, e.g., consent forms and clerking forms, are vetted by hospital lawyer if necessary and approved by GCMB/ Clinical Lead in a timely manner.

Conduct JCI / ESS (or equivalent) activities.

Conducting clinical audits for various clinical work processes, case notes audit / review, audits on problem cases and ad-hoc audits.

Oversee the monitoring of mortality and morbidity reporting ensuring 100% reporting rate.

Compile and analyse data and generate annual reports.

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)

Coordinate activities for Hospital Licensing Exercise and serve as liaison person for any queries on hospital licensing. (if required)

Assist in preparing budget proposal (if required)

Other Medical Affairs Activities

Prepare presentations for HO / MO orientation (if required)

Prepare papers for Medical Board, NUHS Board and MOH as and when required.

Job Specification

Bachelors degree with experience in a hospital setting.

Experience in Quality Management/Assurance in an acute care hospital will be an added advantage.

Computer skills in Words, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Basic statistical skills.

Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Hospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in Vascular Surgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a 1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services. There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We have an aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular as well as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeons worked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600 procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship will be at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to do on call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

We welcome international candidates who have previous vascular experience and looking for further opportunities to enhance their vascular and endovascular skills. As we are an academic unit of vascular surgery, fellows are expected to participate in research and teaching. Depending on candidates’ previous skills set, we offer basic, intermediate and advanced vascular fellowships. The maximum training duration is 24 months for candidates at junior registrar level and 12 months for advanced fellowship. The advanced fellowship is suitable for candidates who have completed their vascular training in their country.
