Position Overview:

The Asia Private Investments (PI) Team consists of Directors and Analysts/Associates based in Singapore and Beijing. PI includes venture capital, private equity, and other illiquid investment opportunities across all Asia-Pacific markets. This is a role is to develop market analysis and implementation strategies with the Service Line and Commercial / Sales & Marketing teams to project and position Fugro’s environmental science solutions in Asia Pacific.

The scope entails supporting the Metocean and Environmental Service Line Manager, APAC in reviewing and developing a strategy and implementation of that strategy to grow the environmental market covering EIA, ESIA alongside undertaking surveys and baseline studies to support our EMMP and monitoring aspirations in this space across APAC. Reviewing the regulatory frameworks across Asia in key countries and support a strategy development to grow and support business growth in target areas.

Subsequently, the implementation of this strategy shall take place in conjunction and guidance from the Service Line Manager. The role will involve regular reviews and contribution to service line profit planning and revenue forecasting associated with developing the environmental services.

Solves complex problems where precedent may not exist by

1) performing complex environmental work around the collection of complete and high-quality environmental data, the appropriate QC, the analysis and interpretation of data, the compilation of accurate and customised results reports and other deliverables,

2) proposing improvements of research methods and quality systems,

4) taking on tasks that have been escalated by more junior team members. Often leads/coordinates the work of a small project team and/or deputises the manager, but people management is not a focus. Position summary:

The LNG Trading Analyst role supports the LNG Trading Team in Gas Supply and Trading (GSAT), with primary responsibility of profit & loss (P&L) and exposure gatekeeping for the trading books.

Expected to be a role that will allow the incumbent to progressively get a wider and deeper understanding of the GSAT business and develop skills and knowledge over time that would make them suitable for many other roles and career paths within GSAT and with the wider Business & Commercial function.

The Trading Analyst reports to GSAT Commercial Business Manager; and works closely with the LNG Traders, Commercial and Business Analysts, Risk Control, Finance and IT teams.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Actively contributes as part of a regional trading team through deal entry, analysis and reporting
• Input daily trade data into Chevron Trading Systems (Endur) for various types of deals, ensuring timely communication of trade details to all relevant stakeholders and compliance with timeline requirements
• Verify deals entered into EndurTrading Systems by Traders, check for accuracy and completeness.
• Input revisions to existing trades as advised by Traders, align trades for allocations and actualizations as cargo status changes
• Perform daily analysis and reporting of P&L, exposure and mark to market (MTM) to advise and explain business performance
• Understand and effectively communicating daily MTM and P&L swing drivers
• Fluency with exposure reconciliation , MTM tracking and monthly inventory forecasts
• Generate reports from the Endur Trading System for analysis of daily volumetric changes, discrepancies, and P&L changes
• Assist in ad hoc reporting, new counterparties onboarding, know your customer (KYC) requests.
• Lead, participate and engage in efforts to drive modernization, process simplification, new tools integration and implement process improvements utilising new digital solutions
• Participate in special ad-hoc projects (eg. system upgrades such as Endur enhancements, automation and fundamentals analysis)
• Involvement in business planning activities to support Commercial Business Manager
• Mentor and provide commodity coverage for other LNG TAs
• Build very strong partnerships with Risk Control & basic understanding of VAR/GARM
• Travel might be needed on an ad hoc basis to cover for other TAs and/or training purposes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

Business Analyst (Maritime)

Our client is a leading maritime player with global presence.

The candidate will be responsible for commercial projects, relationship management and providing support for the company’s sales practices on the CRM. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, takes initiative, challenge existing ideas and has strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate must be able to work well independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Relationship Management (30%) & Data Administration (20%)

• Build strong and trusting relationships with Traders, with the ability to influence and train them on how to use the CRM system.
• Review and analyze CRM and research data tools to track and report on revenue, pipeline, and performance.
• Maintain accurate and timely customer data in CRM (Hubspot); add new entries into the CRM system (companies, contacts, deals), manage existing entries, keep the data tidy and free of duplicates.
• Identify and raise areas of concern to senior managers with regards to sales management and ownership of client conflict resolution between traders.
• Market research on leads and existing customers; ad-hoc analysis across all sectors
• Assisting Project Management (30%)
• Participate in multiple projects and planned strategies to drive business and revenue growth.
• Analytics and Reporting (20%)
• Perform ad-hoc analytical work when required to meet various business and project’s needs.
• Routine reporting of the profitability of various business units and understanding the drivers behind it.

Requirements

• Minimum Maritime/Shipping related degree or analytical degree in Maths, Science, Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced environment

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage a diverse range of CRM users and build effective communication with traders.
