· Senior/Principal Civil and Structural (C&S) Engineer is an exciting role that offers candidates opportunities in SJ Global Energy’s business unit covering C&S design work for various projects such as CCGT power plants, renewable, clean energy projects and typical land infrastructure for terminaling projects.

Responsibilities:

· Perform feasibility study, concept design, front end engineering design (FEED) and detailed designs for civil & structural (C&S) works in industrial/energy related projects. The C&S design will cover foundation, substructure for storage tanks, pipe racks/sleepers/bridge, equipment plinths/foundation, underground pipeline culvert, drainage, sewerage, road infrastructures, superstructures for low-rise buildings/structures, etc.

· Experience in power plant projects would be an added advantage

· Preferably, honour degree in C&S Engineering from a recognised university and with at least 5 years of detailed design experience in civil & structural engineering projects.

· Experience in marine facilities’ design would be an added advantage.

· At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the design of concrete and steel structures, drainage, sewerage and road works infrastructures

Job Description & Requirements

1. Conducts field inspection and verify conformance to approved specifications.
2. Conducts inspection on the installation of product such as AHU etc.
3. Prepare and review documents for project close-out requirements.
4. Conducts in-house orientation on company policies and procedures to employees in preparation for their incorporation to company.
5. Supervise the implementation of punch list (balance of works) issued by client to conform to the established client standards and specifications.
6. Prepare QC inspection reports and monthly accomplishment reports.
7. Proper checklist and progress report must be generated.
8. Conducts line checking on installed items, issue punch list and verify accomplishment prior to endorsement for testing.
9. Conducts pre-qualification of welders for pipe welding works.
10. Conducts inspection on installation of fans and blowers including pre-fabrication and initial testing.
11. Prepare inspection reports for accepted and rejected activities.
12. Conducts receiving inspection on critical materials prior to installation.
13. Attend to coordination meetings and address problems concerning installation problems.
14. Generate Non-conformance reports to activities not conforming to project specifications and monitor detailed action plans for close-out.
15. Prepare and maintain quality manual for the organization.
16. Generate work instructions, company procedures for use by the organization and submission to client.
17. Conduct and prepare analysis of generated NCRs, complaints, and audit results.
18. Arrange with third party inspectors for necessary testing.
19. Implement quality system to the project.
20. Arrange materials documentation requirements and submits to Client Inspection Department for acceptance.
21. Prepare Quality Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for submission to clients.
22. Review Mill Test Certificates. (For Production Related Works only).
23. Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.
24. Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
25. Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements.
26. Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
27. Considering the application of environmental and health and safety standards.
28. Agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.
29. Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
30. Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
31. Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
32. Supervising technical staff in carrying out tests and checks.
33. Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures.
34. Persuading reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods.
35. All QC items must be reported to the Operations manager.
36. Establishing standards of service for customers or clients.
37. Establish and define Standards and Procedure of development requirements for the Product.
38. Formulate, implement and review work procedures to ensure effectiveness and efficiency to meet quality requirements.
39. Evaluate according to ISO requirements and actively provide constructive feedback to development team.
40. Establish and maintain high quality test procedures and methods to be used in present and future software and hardware testing and development that comply with the company quality standards and deliverables.
41. Prepare the requirements for components and / or assembled parts of the incoming inspections.
42. Oversee quality tests and qualify the release of products at the manufacturing side.
43. Oversee the resolution of quality-related problems in the development and manufacturing environment resulting from supply or production imperfections.

REQUIREMENT

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering related discipline

2. At least 2 years of related work experience in quality control

3. Good office coordination skill and interpersonal skill.

4. Independent and resourceful.

5. Knowledgeable in ISO documents preparation.

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

• Lead site wide implementation of Food Safety initiatives. Consulting with Division Food Safety SME where necessary.
• Drive and implement continuous improvements to enhance quality and food safety in our products in a cost effective manner.
• Develop training materials and conduct training as part of roll out of Food Safety initiatives.
• Monitor and report project milestones. Ensures timely and successful execution of changes.
• Improve Food Safety culture and raise awareness of Food Safety through various initiatives.
• Improve site Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system.

Major Responsibilities:

• Establish project milestones and ensures tracking for timely completion.
• Training of cross functional team on the new Food Safety initiatives.
• Implement Change Management Tools (example, CLRS) to ensure successful roll out of Food Safety initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency and cost for the plant.
• Establish Standard Operating Procedures for new Food Safety initiatives.
• Implement improvements to site HACCP and risk assessment.

Requirements:

• Bachelors’ Degree in engineering (chemical / biomedical), manufacturing, industrial management, or a related field.
• Min 3 years of experience in quality project management, preferably in food/pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
• Good practical knowledge of GMP in food / pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Good leadership and problem-solving skill.
• Good communication and report writing skill.
• Good project management skill.
• Team player with initiative, drive, good communication skills and a strong command of written English.
• Knowledge in HACCP and risk assessment.
• Knowledge in food engineering and experience in a dairy / nutritional industry would be advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience in driving cultural changes in organization is preferred.
