About the role:

This will be a 1-year contract under direct bank payroll.

Job Description:

• To work closely with Team Head and Senior Relationship Managers in developing and maintaining business relationship with existing and potential corporate clients
• Actively participate in the marketing and selling of corporate banking services and products offered by the bank
• To work with product and risk partners in formulating and executing a coherent account strategy for each client to maximize the total revenues from the portfolio
• Assist Relationship Managers in customer enquiries and/or transaction related to account balances, deposit renewals, loan rollovers, foreign exchange, etc.
• Ensure, through diligent account planning and account management, that all clients have a demonstrated path for generating acceptable risk/return revenues through cross-selling of other products (deposits, FX, DCM etc)
• To comply with all company policies and regulatory requirements in carrying out the above objectives

Syndications

• Knowledge of syndication / club deals and wide network with local syndication banks would be a plus
• To provide support to originate & execute Structured Finance transactions which includes but not limited to mergers & acquisitions financing, project financing, syndications for South East Asia
• To provide support to develop strategies around Structured Finance transactions to meet asset and revenue budget.
• To provide support to build network and arrange potential syndicated club deals in the primary and secondary markets

Structured & Commodity Trade Finance (SCTF)

• To be actively involved in supporting Relationship Managers in all aspects of our Structured & Commodity Trade Finance business
• Support the Relationship Managers for credit risk related matters (including the preparation and submission of credit application papers and loan reviews)

Credit and Risk Management

• Provide support to Relationship Managers in assessing all aspects of risks when establishing banking relationships with new clients
• Ensure compliance with the Group’s Policy & Local Underwriting Standards and in country regulatory requirements and laws pertaining to AML, KYC, etc
• To take overall responsibility and accountability for the credit quality of the assigned/acquired portfolio, ensuring timely submission of annual reviews and quick turnaround of new cases
• To flag up early warning signals to the Risk Management function and restructure the limits to protect the Bank’s exposure, if required
• No overdue reviews or adverse remarks from internal/external audit

AML/CTF Responsibilities

• Comply with anti-money laundering / counter terrorist financing requirement and sanction risks controls in accordance with regulatory standards and CNCBI policies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field
• Sound wholesale banking and product knowledge with credit analysis training will be an advantage
• Knowledge in Syndications and Structured & Commodity Trade Finance would be a plus
• Good knowledge of other product offerings especially cash management and foreign exchange
• Good understanding of legal terms and documentation procedures with relation to Syndications and Structured & Commodity Trade Finance would be advantageous
• Previous experience in a sizable bank or financial institution involving wholesale banking focusing on structured commodity trade finance would be advantageous
• Fresh Graduates with related internship experience are welcome to apply

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the Organizational Risk Management processes to identify and highlight potential high-risk areas for the management team.
• Review documents related to outsourcing and third-party management, including policies, procedures, manuals, and outsourcing registers, to ensure compliance with the new MAS outsourcing Notice and Guidelines.
• Facilitate and support the outsourcing process and framework, ensuring alignment with MAS Outsourcing Guidelines, including the consolidation of outsourcing reports for MAS.
• Assist other departments with new and periodic reviews of third-party management.
• Support the establishment of a New Product Committee to evaluate and review new products or business initiatives.
• Review and maintain the BCM framework to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Control, facilitate, and consolidate Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) results from various business units.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct BCP testing, including call tree exercises.
• Support the completion of the Residual Risk Assessment by collaborating with business units to identify key risks and controls, evaluate inherent and residual risks, and create mitigation plans as necessary.
• Identify and assess significant operational risk areas and control gaps, working with business units to mitigate risks and improve controls as needed.
• Organize and facilitate Risk Committee and Operational Risk Committee meetings for risk assessment exercises, ensuring action plans are in place for identified key risks.
• Maintain and develop a framework to manage environmental risks in accordance with regulatory expectations, coordinating with relevant departments.
• Assist and support the Head Office in all organizational and operational risk administration and project deliverables.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, particularly with hands-on involvement in outsourcing and BCP management, within organizational or operational risk management in financial institutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic understanding of financial markets and risk processes, including risk reporting and post-approval monitoring.
• Solid understanding of the risk management process and experience in implementing process controls. Demonstrated experience in applying these methods effectively.
