Quality Control:

Resource Management:

Managing and optimizing the use of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution. This involves coordinating with suppliers, monitoring resource availability, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.

Budget and Cost Control:

Monitoring project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses, and ensuring adherence to the approved budget. You will work closely with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities, manage change orders, and address any budget variances.

Communication and Reporting:

Facilitating effective communication among project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and clients. You will provide regular progress updates, prepare reports on project status, and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders.

Risk Management:

Identifying and assessing potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. This involves conducting risk assessments, implementing risk management plans, and addressing any unforeseen issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, permits, and contracts. You will also keep records of project milestones, change orders, and any other relevant documentation to ensure proper project documentation and compliance.

Team Leadership and Development:

Providing leadership and guidance to the construction site team, including subcontractors and workers. You will motivate and inspire the team, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive and productive work environment. Additionally, you may identify training and development needs and provide opportunities for skill enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Understand the market and find new avenues to generate business to hit department targets
• Find new avenues of growth through long-term service contracts to augment ad-hoc business.
• Assist in preparing proposals and quotations for incoming enquiries
• Prepare information and assist the Manager with tender submissions
• Provide input and assist with new digital and traditional marketing campaigns
• Follow up on submitted proposals and work closely with the Manager to foster strong relationships with customers
• Create and track submitted proposals and report status to the Manager
• Develop an appropriate network of industry contacts and reach out with direct marketing tools

Job Scope

• Responsible for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, meeting requirements and within allocated budget.
• Manage project lifecycle, from requirement, design, technical construction, testing, acceptance, training, documentation, and implementation.
• Participate in pre-project activities such as estimation of project efforts, preparation of high-level project plan with project timeline and resource requirements, and staffing and organisation of project team.
• Plan, coordinate, and communicate project plan, timeline, and activities to the project team. Liaise with all agencies and authorities to facilitate work progress such as LTA, SLA, HDB, SPPG, SP Group, NParks and all the telecommunication authorities.
• Monitor and track progress of projects and stay on top of the projects to ensure smooth execution.
• Manage and coordinate project deliverables, ensuring their quality and configuration management.
• Analyse and highlight project risks and develop necessary risk mitigation plans.
• Analyse and highlight project dependencies to pre-empt project issues.
• Maintain project issue register to keep close match of the project issues till their resolution.
• Manage performance of the project team, guide the project team in resolving issues, and resolve conflicts within the project team.
• Manage customer’s expectation by understanding customers’ needs and providing realistic expectations and scope of the projects.
• Manage and work closely with 3rd-parties involved in projects.

Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent recognised by PE Board
• 6 - 8 years of relevant working experience in LTA contract as Main Con
• Possess experience in sewer drainage projects will be an added advantage
