4. Monitor & coordinate with site supervisor and subcontractor on work progress

5. Carry out visual check to ensure quality of steelwork

6. Coordinate with supervisor, site personnel, RE/RTO for inspection activities

7. Ensure site work comply with safety requirements

8. Any other duties or work assigned by Project Manager / Management

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma / Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering / Mechanical or equivalent with at least three years of working experience in structural steel

2. Meticulous with good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

3. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:

• Well-versed in Construction Method Statements
• Manage Piling, Excavation, ERSS, RC, and Architecture work
• Preparing the site and liaising with other construction professionals before construction work starts
• Developing the program of work and strategy for making the project happen
• Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials
• Making safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health, safety, and the environment are adhered to
• Ensure progress of work is within budget & timelines as well as quality & safety objectives
• Control and monitor work progress and resources
• Lead a team of technical staff in daily operations

Requirements:

• Recognized Degree in Civil Engineering
• Min 10 years of civil engineering experience of which includes 5 years in managing a construction team for LTA MRT projects
• Well-versed in construction sequence, principles and LTA regulatory requirements
• Good leadership skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Great team player
