Roles & Responsibilities

Pre-plan and prioritize works for the task given.

As a Maintenance Technician, you are requiring updating, before, progressing and after completion of work at site.

Assist & support project site operations and ensure timely completion of electrical work activities.

Awareness in electrical hazards & safety knowledge

Proactive routine services, repairs, replace of spares, consumable materials, items and components

to all systems and equipment to ensure that they are operational.

Perform daily operational activities which includes attending to customers' enquiries, needs and complaints.

Inspect and maintain site electrical equipment.

Documented all scheduled routine findings and rectification.

Attend to all work orders issued by the operations and management.

Liaising and co-ordinating with site personnel, third party and external contractor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead in Site Coordination with all trades.
• Prepare submission of shop drawing / Materials / MOS.
• To ensure work is construct in accordance with contract and drawings.
• Planning of Arch. Works and micro scheduling with other disciplines.
• Liaise with sub-contractors, suppliers and etc.
• Implement and ensure QC plan with Quality and Service Dept.
• Procurement and Monitoring of Arch. related materials.
• To carry out inspection/trade demo/ material testing / mock up
• To ensure tiles/walls lay according to setting out plan.
• To verify VO and prepare back charges.
• Attend sub-con meetings.
• To check and ensure compliance with TOP check list and RI (Arch)
• Attend to archi materials, sample board, trade demo and shop drawings submission and submittal reviews comment from consultants.
• To update Arch. progress with scheduling tools.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree in Civil or a related discipline recognized by the PE Board.
• Relevant qualification of certificates in structural and architectural discipline (eg: NCCS, BCSS, Safety or Lifting).
• Minimum three (3) years’ of relevant experience.
• Able to lead the sub-contractors to ensure smooth progress of works, high quality standards and minimal defects.
• Preferably completed QM project and registered as Coretrade foremen.
• Good knowledge of archi specs and BCA quality requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of BIM.
• Willing to travel around project site offices within Singapore.

Job Description:

Shipbuilding Quality control

• Verify that materials and parts used conform to specifications. Checking the progress and quality of each construction process to ensure proper quality. Perform inspections, Nondestructive testing (NDT), welding inspections, painting inspections, etc. Observe and confirm various tests (buoyancy tests, pressure tests, functional tests, etc.).

Shipbuilding Design supervision

• Check and approve blueprints and change drawings. Handling of review and approval of design changes that occur during construction.

Shipbuilding Safety management

• Planning HSSE management. Patrols and Ensures compliance with safety standards within the shipyard.
• Reporting and handling of safety issues and incidents.

Shipbuilding Process control

• Monitoring the progress of construction according to the schedule. Responding to and coordinating schedule changes and delays.

Shipbuilding Reporting and Recording

• Reports to head office about progress, problems, budget etc. Preservation of important records such as inspection results and test results.

Communication and coordination

• Liaison and coordination with shipyards, designers, shipowners, standards bodies, etc.
• Prompt response and resolution of problems and issues that arise.

Compliance with laws, regulations, and standards

• Verification of compliance with the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Classification Society (Class), Japanese law and regulations and other standards and laws. Management of inspections and witnessing by standards bodies.

Shipbuilding Final verification and handover

• Completion inspection and verification during the final process. Confirmation of final trials such as sea trials. Witnessing and confirmation of the final handover of the vessel.
• Preparation for cable laying work after delivery
• Order and load the materials and equipment needed for the cable laying work. Planning the suitable crew rotation schedule and the operation schedule. Cable installation project planning support.

Defect warranty

• When a machine problem occurs, troubleshoot to identify the cause and resolve it after delivery.
• Negotiate compensation with the shipyard in the event of a problem occurring and maintain the ship in a sound condition.

Cable laying Project Operation and Vessel Maintenance

• Quickly identify the cause of mechanical or electrical troubles in the working vessels and establish a proper restore/repair plan. Take precautions to prevent troubles on working vessels. Handle operational issues, repairs, and/or modifications to Cable laying Vessel fleet.
• Liaise and coordinate with various stakeholders, Vessel master’s shipyard and vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance needed for the operations. Prepare proposals for docking requirements and specifications. Check and ensure that spare parts inventory management and condition are sufficient to support repair and maintenance schedules. Ensure quality, environment, health & safety requirements are met.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) large-size work vessel construction experience.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in operating and maintaining working vessels in the owner's capacity.
• Minimum 25 years of experience with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be a licensed Professional Engineer of Machinery or Associate Professional Engineer
• Must be a licensed 1st Grade Engineer of Civil-works Management
• Experience in large size of civil construction projects of Shore Reclamation works site over USD20M.
• Experience in large dredging project sites of over USD 500 M.
• Experience in working at civil construction sites.
• Experience in dredging works using TSHDs, Cutter suction dredgers, and or Grab dredgers.
• Experience in maritime construction work or offshore WTG (Wind turbine generator)
• Experience in method engineering and planning and modification of ships and ship equipment.

Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Graduated advanced Marine Technology Specialist Course or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of Engineering experience in an offshore wind farm, ROV, Trencher or offshore vessel projects.
• Expert knowledge of Trencher (power cable trenching machine)
• Expert knowledge of Work class ROV
• Expert knowledge of wind farm construction projects.
• Expert knowledge of seabed soil information especially.
• Good knowledge of cable laying equipment installed on cable laying vessels.
• Good knowledge of cable laying work using cable laying vessels.
• Can draw the model with 2D and 3D Auto CAD
