A Senior Contract Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing contract-related functions, ensuring compliance, and managing risks. A Senior Contract Manager also collaborates with project managers and financial controllers to align contract objectives with project and company goals. This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills to navigate complex construction contracts effectively.

Job Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements and company policies.
• Identify and mitigate risks in contract terms, providing guidance on contract clauses, obligations, and liabilities.
• Assess contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, staying updated on construction and contract law changes.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, from initiation through project completion and closeout.
• Monitor contract performance, ensuring deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
• Handle variations, claims, and changes, assessing their impact on contracts and project scope.
• Ensure contract budgets align with project financial targets, monitoring expenses, and revenue.
• Approve and process payments to contractors and subcontractors, ensuring accurate billing and invoicing.
• Act as the primary liaison between project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding contract matters.
• Provide clear communication on contract requirements, modifications, and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Address conflicts and disputes that may arise during project execution, coordinating with legal teams as needed.
• Ensure all parties fulfill their contractual obligations, conducting regular audits of contract compliance.
• Supervise and mentor junior contract managers, providing guidance on complex contract issues.
• Lead training sessions on contract management best practices, risk mitigation, and compliance for the team.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a comparable role, specializing in contract management and administration, particularly in the construction industry
• Profound knowledge in Contract Negotiation and Administration
• Relevant experience in both Singapore's public and private sector projects
• Relevant experience in handling subcontracts
• Knowledgeable, experienced, and well-versed in the application of various Conditions of Building Contracts commonly adopted locally

Job Description:

• Corporate with the construction manager to supervise and manage the site operation to align with the project goals.
• Work closely with subcontractors to ensure the progress of project are in time and coordinate the work resources required by subcontractors to meet project requirements.
• Corporate with goverment personnel to conduct on-site inspections.
• Participate in weekly or monthly meetings with subcontractors to discuss work progress and preparing monthly meeting progress reports.
• Participate in daily operation include planning, coordination and supervision of on-site activities.
• To ensure all aspects of the project align with engineering and design specifications, industry standards and construction regulations.
• Any other tasks assigned by the manager.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Diploma/ Degree or above preferably from a recognized University accredited with PEB, Singapore
• Experience with public residential projects would be advantages.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office / Projects, AutoCAD
• Ability to keep a positive attitube in a fast-paced environment
• Good team player

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement appropriate safety measurements in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act
• Enforce all safety requirements and company safety rules and regulations
• Conduct regular site checks and take appropriate corrective actions
• Conduct regular inspection to ensure ECM and environmental plan in place
• Maintain and update all WSH records, certificates and reports in accordance with WSH legislation
• Investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses to determine the root causes and prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain accurate records related to safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Stay current on industry best practices and continuously seek opportunities to improve workplace safety.

REQUIREMENT /QUALIFICATION

• Registered WSH Officer with MOM
• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in construction industry
• Occupational Safety Management (including fire & safety management)
• Experience in Private Housing will be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Provide the general day-to-day administration functions and duties.
• Arrange/coordinate appointments and bookings for meetings and company car use.
• Administrative support to executives and expatriate staff for housing matters and travel arrangements (Hotel/flight booking).
• Administration of Work Pass (EP, S Pass, and DP) & Income Tax related matters.
• National Immunization Registry filing (Employee's children under 12 years).
• Japan Embassy (Marriage / Birth certificates translation) for DP application.
• Administration of internship or WHP (New application) for Overseas students.
• Business trip coordination (e.g., flight and hotel bookings, VISA applications)
• Manage office supplies and factory inventory by working with the factory management and finance department.
• Monitor contracts (facilities, housing, membership, subscriptions, service providers, and suppliers), signal contract expiry, and prepare quotes.
• Local logistics and organization support and arrangements.
• Keeps management informed through written and verbal reports (summarising information and identifying trends).
• From time to time, the company has special projects and events. The GA team will also support full backend support.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Requirements:

• Candidate with minimum Diploma/degree in Business administration or related courses.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general administration, planning and administering executive services.
• Japanese-Language Proficiency Test [JLPT] certification is preferred as this role requires liaising frequently with Japanese internal and headquarters stakeholders in Japan.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Candidate with Excellent communication skills, Multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Having experience in accounting, Google Functions, and system automation is preferable.
