Reception Job Description:

The reception team provides a critical function within the organization. They are the first point of contact for our guests. These first impressions are key to setting the scene for a positive office human workplace experience, delivering world-class and seamless customer service.

Call Management

• Receiving, fielding and re-directing internal and external calls

Guest Management

• Welcoming all visitors to the office premises.
• Notifying departmental EA’s and/or meeting host of their guest’s arrival

Receptionists must become adept at recognizing key business unit leaders and corresponding EAs and learning any preferences in relation to call forwarding or guest greeting, escorting and delivery.

Physical Reception Areas

• Ensuring the reception area is pristine, clean and tidy at all times
• Reporting facilities issues (e.g., broken / worn furniture, blown light bulbs, dirty floors, carpets, walls etc.) immediately. Raising tickets, and following up until these items are resolved
• Ensuring newspapers, magazines and publications are current and neatly displayed
• Ensuring wardrobes are empty of debris, and free and clear to accept guests’ coats and luggage

You will work closely with the Property Manager to provide excellent support to estate residents in executing daily estate inspections to ensure high quality standard of horticultural, maintenance and implement improvement works, including but not limited to the following:

• To provide supervision and ensure that all repair and routine maintenance works undertaken by the contractors are carried out properly and completed satisfactorily in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract.
• Schedule and ensure breakdown, preventive and corrective maintenance activities are carried out effectively.
• Perform regular inspections and handle enforcement work at the common property areas and to ensure that such common property is in satisfactory and serviceable condition and properly maintained according to the standards required by the relevant authorities and to recommend any works which are necessary.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Facilities Management Services / Estate Management / Building Maintenance / Engineering or related fields with minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Experienced in Township management will be an added advantage.
• Good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to speak Mandarin to interact with the residents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to work beyond normal working hours (5-day work week) and on weekends/ PHs where required

Element has an opportunity for a Laboratory Manager to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.

This position will be based in Sungei Kadut Loop,Singapore.

Job Duties:

• Ensures that safety and quality standards are being met and maintained at all times within the company's safety and QA programs and work with assigned staff to ensure work schedules are maintained and balanced
• Responsible for the location safety performance and awareness; spearheads and manages initiatives that drive a culture of safety first
• Under the direction of the General Manager, is responsible for department’s growth including profit and loss.
• Provides technical and engineering leadership related to construction chemical materials testing, but not limited to other product testing such as floor tiles, door, glass, timber, etc.
• Manages daily operations to ensure productivity and customer expectations are consistently met in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of Element capabilities, processes and expertise to be able to clearly explain the benefits of Element testing services to all stakeholders.
• Spearheads the development of new capabilities within Element with formal business case proposal.
• Provides technical advice or training to coworkers and customers on interpretation of test results.
• Provides technical and costing input to Business Development team on new and existing opportunities.
• Confident in making both formal and informal technical presentations to a wide range of stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Science or Materials Engineering discipline from recognised institution, with a minimum of 5-year experience in a managerial role ideally with laboratory management operations experience
• Must be well-versed with ISO17025 documentation and technical documents such as BS, EN, ASTM, etc.
• Candidates with SAC-SINGLAS Signatory will be advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge on laboratory safety
• Ability to support and train staff members
• Possess strong technical leadership
• Ability to communicate (both written and oral) effectively with clients and colleagues with great attention to detail and accuracy of test results
• Proven track record of success in technical competency
• Proven ability to work under fast-paced environment
• Understanding of continuous improvement disciplines such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc.
• Possess strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Provide technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies within a local laboratory and be accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable

• Interact with customers on technical issues and questions and provide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
