We are looking for energetic and inquisitive individuals to join the Risk Control & Policy team in the SGX Risk Management Unit. The SGX Risk Management unit is broadly responsible for monitoring and managing the risks of expected and unexpected events that may have an adverse impact on the company. We play a critical function for SGX, in driving how the company takes and manages all aspects of risk in today’s highly dynamic market environment.

In the course of performing the day-to-day responsibilities of a Risk Control & Policy analyst, you will also develop subject matter expertise in financial and clearing risk management, and acquire a deeper understanding of financial markets, capital markets instruments across multiple asset classes and quantitative models used in risk assessments. You will also have opportunities to participate in cross-unit project teams to support key business initiatives, and given broader exposure and learning opportunities beyond the usual job scope of a Risk Control & Policy analyst.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:

1. Perform daily monitoring of market participants’ financial health, risk exposures and adverse market news;
2. Evaluate stress testing reports on potential losses and liquidity requirements;
3. Review and set effective margin levels to cover expected financial losses under different market conditions;
4. Perform risk evaluations of new business/product initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree holder in any discipline, with minimum 3 years' of experience in the financial industry.
• Keen interest and good knowledge of financial markets, preferably in derivatives. Possess curious and creative thinking.

Responsibilities:

• Organise and conduct regular credit & AR review meetings with BUs / Sales departments to close out all delinquent accounts.
• Follow up and communicate with customers.
• Review and process new customer account applications.
• Maintain and update particulars and credit limits of customer accounts in SAP.
• Monitor daily sales transactions for credit holds in SAP and communicate with sales department to address overdue issues.
• Disseminate or circulate invoices, statements of accounts, reminder and confirmation letters.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and confirmations.
• Prepare regular collections and AR status reports for management and for HQ.
• Liaise with insurer and apply for trade credit insurance for customer accounts with credit terms.
• Liaise with banks in respect of bank guarantees including but not limited to letters of credit.
• Act as key AR and billing liaison person for overseas shared service centre.
• Check supporting documents to carry out billings to customers.

Requirements:

• Min 1 year relevant working experience.
• Proficient in MS software including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Working experience with Letters of Credit is desired
• SAP working experience is preferred
• Communicate with customers and insurer tactfully and professionally.
