• Assign resources to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards, monitor and guide workflow, setting daily, weekly and long-term project goals.
• Manage the specialist functions of design, engineering, procurement and construction, manage the interaction of various disciplines and multiple work streams.
• Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take effective remedial action as required.
• Financial Management: Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, take corrective action in line with CCCC authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the project.
• Demonstrate leadership in risk management, compliance and auditing and ensure legislative, pre-contract and commercial obligations are met, including compliance with the relevant Building Code.
• Stakeholder management: Ensure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community and other external parties are developed and maintained.
• People management: Monitor staff and labour resourcing to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets, supervise workforce, including subcontractors and foster a high performance team with a positive employee relations environment.
• Contribute to new business, continuous improvement and broader business activities.
• Coordinate with headquarter and site team to obtain enough resources for the projects.
• Organize a proper project management team & plan to carry out the construction works.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company’s polices, processes, systems, reporting and procedures.

Job Requirement:

*Minimum 15 years of engineering experience with Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control as eligible for applicant as a Resident Engineer or Recognised Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the Engineer.

* At least 10 years of experience in managing design and construction teams for project of similar scale and complexity.

Job Responsibilties

• Conducting site construction daily work for project and liaising with the consultants, vendors, contractors on site
• Preparing inspection forms, MSRA, site working schedule, daily site plan, daily report, assisting of Mech Eng/ manager on site document/ forms/report during construction & T&C stage
• Overseeing/ manage/ monitor/ control/ reporting site activities of sub contractors and coordinating on site level with other partners’ sub contractors
• Conduct construction, QAQC inspection/ testing for the area of responsibility as instructed by Mech Eng/ manager
• Attending all relevant WSH activities such as Safety site walk, TBM, audit, safety stand down etc
• Preparing, discuss and coordinate to address safety and health issue daily including identify, rectify, make good, report and closure of any Safety observation, findings, NCs and other safety related issues
• Interact with project technical supports for relevant site work and liaise with other engineer during project execution and commissioning work
• Liaison with local authorities, stakeholders when during site visit related to assign construction activities responsibility
• Coordinate on site logistic, interfacing with cranes, machineries
• Assist Mech Eng/ Manager in preparing of technical submissions of proposal (when needed) including drawing, layout and interacting point requirement
• To attend (if required by superior) the sub contractor meeting and attending any stakeholders, client, partners, authorities meeting whenever is required
• Any other instruction or direction by management
• To work shift and Sat/Sun whenever is required by the Superior. Leave in-lieu will be given base on employment agreement.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or 10 years of relevant working experience in the same field
• Familiar with process engineering, mechanical system and their standards in related discipline is an advantage
• Related working experience in thermal power plant, process industries and mechanical handling equipment is an advantage
• Preferred to have heavy equipment lifting, planning and coordination experience
• Having correct working attitude and will be full time working on site
• Experience in BIM and hands-on AutoCad operating will be preferred
• Willing to work in Tuas
• Will be required to work on shifts, and working on Sat and Sunday with leave in-lieu arrangement
• Possession of Singapore Driving License is required. Else, willing to convert the current license to Singapore Driving License
