Responsibilities

PART 1

Site supervisor’s job is to assist Project Manager or Superior to hit site completion targets. Supervisor must know how to read drawings, plan his works in sequence and in advance, planning days before hand:

· Work scope to be carried out;

· How to carry out the processes;

· Procure required materials & tools in advance;

· Request for manpower in advance.

PART 2

Daily duties include:

· Briefing leaders/workers on their work scope;

· Make sure safety measures are carried out;

· Ensuring works are carried out expeditiously;

· Check their works;

· Make sure works are completed as planned.

PART 3

· Properly protect works done;

· Check and rectify defect if any;

· Debrief leaders/workers on their works.

• Promote safe working practices and to protect the health and well-being of Employees, Sub-contractors and customers;
• Reports to discipline Electrical Construction Team for technical matters;
• Ensuring all electrical services and installations are compliant with approved specification, current shop drawings and current space management drawings;
• Resolving site co-ordination problems with contractors. Providing proactive feedback to engineering where potential design impacts could result from proposed site determined decisions;
• Responsible for the EHS Performance and safety of sub-contractors and/or areas under supervision;
• Enforcing installation quality control in accordance with specifications;
• Ensuring method statements are followed;
• Ensuring that the full value of a risk assessment is reaped;
• Supervision in inspections with the electrical system in the construction and obtaining agreement with all interested parties;
• Co-ordination of various mechanical contractors on site on a day-to-day basis;
• Leading the commissioning activities of all the electrical equipment and installations on site;
• Witnessing of testing results for testing electrical equipment and installation.

Job Requirements:

• 
  
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in relevant engineering disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction industry.
• Extensive Knowledge of Commissioning Techniques and System Start-up
• Knowledge of main key electrical components in a project like ELV/High Voltage switchgear, transformer, Generators, Dynamic Uninterrupted Power Supply units, Low voltage switchboards including respective starter and drives.
• Experience in construction industry and high tech industry with large scale electrical power system involved in commissioning activities.

Job Description:

• To work closely with other site operations staff to meet the project schedule.
• To supervise and manage all related matters with regard to the day to day activities with the objective of meeting the schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
• Prepare daily progress report and work schedule.
• Monitor site safety and ensure that all safety requirements are enforced.
• Able to work independently and ability to interact with staff at all levels.
• Must have experience with managing workers and able to arrange works for workers.
• Coordinate with client, subcontractors, and workers to execute project tasks effectively.
• Ensure all equipment is functional and properly maintained.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff or newly recruited workers.
• Resolve conflicts among team members to maintain a positive work environment.
• Other work-related duties as and when required.

Requirement:

• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
