The Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing floor operations in Basilico Italian bar, ensuring guests receive exceptional service in line with our standards. This role requires expertise in Italian spirits, general beverage knowledge, and coffee barista skills.

What will I be doing?

As the Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following tasks to maintain high standards:

• Deliver outstanding customer service, keeping guest satisfaction at the core of every action.
• Actively promote the bar's offerings and Italian spirits/cocktails to guests, creating a unique and memorable experience.
• Perform all duties with a focus on safety and cleanliness, ensuring both personal and team safety in the workplace.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of Italian spirits, vermouths, amaro’s, classic cocktails, wines, and beverages, and confidently explain menu items to guests.
• Demonstrate barista skills by preparing a variety of Italian-style drinks with precision and consistency.
• Provide recommendations based on guests’ preferences, dietary restrictions, and taste profiles.
• Complete daily checklists for preparing the bar and floor for service, ensuring everything is ready and up to standard.
• Welcome guests warmly, assisting with bags, coats, or any special requests, and ensuring they feel at home.
• Immediately follow up on guest inquiries and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Take personal responsibility for the guest experience, ensuring each guest has a positive and memorable visit.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar and floor area, adhering to operating and hygiene standards.
• Assist team members with service, keeping a strong team focus and fostering a cooperative atmosphere.
• Display professionalism and a friendly attitude, using polite language and maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or issues to management promptly.

A Bar Supervisor should bring a proactive attitude and the following qualifications:

• Education in Hospitality, F&B, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English, with Italian language skills a plus.
• Knowledge of Italian spirits, wines, and general bar service.
• Coffee barista skills, with an understanding of Italian coffee culture.
• Enthusiastic and motivated, showing commitment to guest satisfaction and continuous learning.
• Adaptability, responding quickly to the needs of the bar and guests.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Cleaning, cutting, slicing, and filleting fish and stocking seafood supplies.
• Ensuring proper quality and standards of all supplies.
• Understanding the specific requirement of clients anddelivering to the same aptly.
• Determining a shelf life for stocked products.
• Ensuring proper storage of supplies as per the food and safety regulations.
• Keeping a record of all the seafood inventory of the store or restaurant.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the work area and the cutting knives and equipment.
• Minimizing wastage while cutting the fish.
• Assisting clients in selecting fish and solving any queries, they might have.
• Delivering to the requirements of the chefs in restaurants.
• Verifying the items received against the client’s orders placed.
• Performing all tasks as delegated by the supervisors.

Skills And Specifications

• Knowledge of various techniques of cutting fish.
• Must possess good communication skills for interacting with clients.
• Must have the ability to use appropriate knives and tools for cutting fish.
• Must have basic knowledge on seafood cooking.
• Physically fit and able to lift boxed weighting about 20kg.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing work Site equipment & layout.
• Making improvement proposals for installation manuals, designs, and methods.
• Managing and leading installation teams and subcontract staff, according to installation manuals/drawings.
• Liaising with client representatives.
• Following project timelines and safety rules.
• Checking and managing material inventory.
• Assessing project progress and providing input to the Project Manager.
• Undertake additional office and field tasks as required.
