• Ensure legal compliance of all existing policies and procedures to Singapore law;
• Ensure compliance to company’s policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs);
• Conformance to existing SOPs and suggest areas of improvement;

Contract and Subcontract Management

• Monitor sub-contractors or suppliers’ performance and report any poor performance to the Management;
• Review and negotiate with the sub-contractors as and when necessary;
• Ensure compliance to sub-contractor management procedure

Grievance Handling

• Act as a conduit to employees by listening to feedback and respond appropriately;
• Involve or update HR of the proposals and decisions on grievance handling

Performance Culture, Training and Development

• Facilitate in finalisation of job description for all key resources;
• Ensure employees have adequate people management skills and technical skills to manage their teams and deal with day-to-day people matters;
• Facilitate training need identification and work with HR to fill in the gaps;
• Lead the teams towards objectives as set by the Company

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers (PE) Board Singapore or qualifications acceptable by the Commissioner of Building Control for registration as Resident Engineer
• At least 5 years of relevant local working experience in building and construction industry; at least three (3) years local experience in managing design and construction teams for LTA project
• Excellent project and time management skills;
• Display high level of professionalism and integrity

Overview of the Office of Campus Planning Communications role

The applicant will support the Office of Campus Planning (OCP) to:

1. Plan, develop and lead internal and external communications deliverables such as internal EDMs, feature stories, video-interviews etc. to drive Alexandra Hospital’s brand awareness and increase mindshare.
2. Plan and coordinate stakeholder engagement sessions and where necessary – to develop public facing letters and manage a reasonable amount of public feedback.
3. Support key stakeholders in the delivery of Alexandra Hospital’s corporate initiatives.
4. Support the planning and execution of OCP led campaigns, events and initiatives.
5. Prepare and draft press materials, speeches, feature articles, letters and announcements.
6. Any other duties as assigned.

Qualification Required and Area of Discipline

• Degree in any communications or public relations discipline

(Degree in Mass Communications is highly preferred)

• At least 6 years of relevant work experience, preferably with project management experience
• Candidates with healthcare background highly preferred

Required Competencies and Capabilities (Skills, Experiences and Professional Licences)

• Familiar with media, project, campaign and event management
• Able to facilitate Stakeholder engagement sessions to be useful and productive.
• Good documentation skills to ensure discussions are properly recorded for future reference.
• Enthusiasm in healthcare planning topics and issues so as to identify newsy story angles for publicity
• Strong linguistic capabilities, and ability to write papers for approval when required.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
