Reporting to Senior Project Manager, the Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the logistics and execution of construction projects. This includes the supervision of procurement, contractor works, progress monitoring, compliance with method statements, adherence to schedules, defect rectifications, and day 2 works. The role involves regular site visits, reporting to senior managers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within contract timescales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the logistical requirements of a project, ensuring efficient and effective execution.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients, third parties, and other managers to report on project progress.
• Supervise contractors, setting targets, objectives, and responsibilities to ensure adherence to project plans.
• Review project timings, budget, labor, risk, and plans regularly to ensure work stays on track.
• Follow up on budgets and variation orders, maintaining financial control over the project.
• Conduct site visits to inspect work, verify materials, and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Address construction progress issues, mitigating the impact of these issues on the project.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality work within contract timescales, maintaining high standards of construction.
• Work in both office and construction site environments, adapting to the needs of the project.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or project manage in construction scene or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Required to work in construction site environments. Site visits and outdoor work will be necessary, and the candidate should be prepared to work in various weather conditions.

• Production maskers may also be asked to keep records of their output and compare it with a production schedule.

Job Description

• Attend meetings with client, consultants & subcontractor to ensure that all project requirements are compiled and executed accordingly
• Able to interpret drawing and identify discrepancy within all trades and come out with a solution
• Be responsible for the planning, scheduling, monitoring, controlling and coordination of works and ensure timely completion
• To lead a team of supervisors/ electricians/ technicians to carry out their works accurately and timely to ensure that works on site are carried out according to client requirement
• Manage end to end delivery of project through defined project scope, detailed project plan & seek stakeholder’s agreement for sign-off
• Track project status to ensure delivery is on track and provide regular project updates
• Able to handle a few minor projects concurrently
• Be responsible for the planning, scheduling, controlling and coordinating of building services related works in terms of preventive / breakdown / A&A Works
• Liaise and hold meetings with clients, Managing Agent & Sub contractor to ensure that all requirements by clients and relevant authorities are adhered
• Monitor, track, and provide timely project progress reports to the management
• Good knowledge and experienced in building related works such as civil engineering, structural, architectural, building repair, piling, A&A,plumbing works etc.

· Other ad-hoc duties as per assigned

Requirements

· Possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills and a leader to influence

· Efficient, Good Analytical Skills and Able to work independently.

· Diploma/Degree/Master in Civil & Engineering or equivalent, recognized universities under the BCA , Possess quantity surveying skills is a plus.

· Experience in a marine construction company is favourable, however, fresh graduates may apply.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCad

· Able to start work immediately.
