Job Description & Requirements

• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with safety rules and relevant regulations.
• Resolve problems when they arise- Able to understand construction drawings
• Able to perform hands-on work for tiling, plastering, welding, and electrical work
• Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels, and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise
• Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material and cleaning the surfaces properly

Responsible for pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying duties for MEP Works including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, tender evaluation, cashflow forecast, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.

Manage the MEP Works taking off from drawings and pricing for cost estimates, tender documents, etc.

Leading and coaching junior staff in delivery of services, including checking on the works done by junior staff

Collaborate and develop good relationship with clients and stakeholders internally and externally

Measuring and taking off quantities, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers

Attend meetings and site inspections when required

Comply with the Company’s QA requirements and best practice

Establish client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies

Attend onsite and consultants’ meetings and liaise with clients, architects and associate consultants in the administration of projects

Able to Source and Liaise with Site Personnel, Suppliers, Sub-contractors, Consultants and/or Architects for all project-related matters.

Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to calculate project costs

Prepare various contracts and nominated sub-contracts for tender and contract formalization

Measure and take off quantities for architectural and structural work elements

Administer pre and post contract and consultancy work

Assess variation orders, prepare interim valuations, cost plans and budget studies

Valuing completed work and arrange payments

Provide advice on contractual claims

Job Requirements:

· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Electrical Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.

· 5 years and above experience as QS in Singapore.

· Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders

· Competent in software skills MS Office and AutoCAD.

· Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines

· Able to start work immediately is an advantage

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree in Civil or a related discipline recognized by the PE Board.
• Relevant qualification of certificates in structural and architectural discipline (eg: NCCS, BCSS, Safety or Lifting).
• Minimum three (3) years’ of relevant experience.
• Able to lead the sub-contractors to ensure smooth progress of works, high quality standards and minimal defects.
• Preferably completed QM project and registered as Coretrade foremen.
• Good knowledge of archi specs and BCA quality requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of BIM.

Responsibilities：

• Driver the Company lorry to pick up workers, to or from site, office and dormitory etc.
• Follow the schedule or ad-hoc obtained from the Supervisors and Coordinator.
• Inform the Supervisors and Coordinator as soon as possible if he is delayed in his schedule. This will enable them to plan their resources efficiently.
• Understand that the Company’s vehicles and attached cash cards are solely to be for Company use.
• Drive and operate the vehicles in a safe manner in accordance to local laws.
• Ensure the loads are properly secured in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Inform the Company if any of the vehicles are unsafe to operate and require repairs. The Driver must not operate the vehicles in such situation.
• Drive the vehicle to the Company appointed workshop for servicing and maintenance.
