3Pumpkins is a community arts and development organisation that envisions a happier and more inclusive society with strong human connections. We value collaborative approaches that are focused on strengthening self-esteem and social connections through a multi-disciplinary approach. 3Pumpkins was registered as a non-profit entity in 2019 and is now a registered charity since 2023.

TTKC is 3Pumpkins’ flagship project, a child-centric community development initiative that aspires to build safe and happy communities for children from vulnerable backgrounds to connect and thrive. The initiative piloted in Boon Lay in 2021, focused on bridging gaps in child-centric support and motivating children towards self-actualisation. Through a collaborative and adaptive approach that responds to the evolving strengths and challenges of local communities, TTKC meets children where they are and grows alongside them.

Key Responsibilities:

Case Management:

• Conduct comprehensive risk and needs assessments, integrating a variety of information and utilising appropriate risk and needs assessment tools and frameworks for all cases
• Lead and manage complex casework, including assessments, case planning, interventions, and follow-ups
• Provide trauma-informed and strength-based support to children and their families, ensuring a holistic approach that addresses both individual and family needs
• Support to develop and maintain comprehensive case documentation and data management systems

Partnerships & Collaboration:

• Build strong networks and partnerships with social service agencies, schools, and community organisations to enhance support for children and their families
• Act as a liaison with external partners to facilitate referrals and joint interventions, ensuring seamless service delivery

Training & Supervision:

• Lead training sessions for staff and volunteers on topics such as child protection, trauma-informed care, and community engagement
• Provide clinical supervision and support to junior case/social workers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development

Others:

• Participate and support TTKC research and programme evaluation efforts
• Assist in management of critical reports involving staff, children and/or families

What We Are Looking For:

• A degree or graduate diploma in Social Work
• At least 4 years of experience in social work, with a strong track record in child and family services
• Experience in providing case and clinical supervision to social/case workers
• Experience working with high-risk cases
• Registered Social Worker preferred
• Passionate about working with children and youth in a community setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Adaptable, creative, and able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Experienced in developing and implementing community-based programmes
• Proficient in oral and written communication, especially English

Work Arrangement:

• 40-hour work week, including Saturdays
• Shift work is required: regular days are 9am to 6pm, while onsite days (at most 2 days a week) are 12pm to 9pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of our community outreach team, also known as Community Resource, Engagement & Support Team (CREST), focusing on raising public awareness of mental health conditions and dementia, early recognition of at-risk individuals, providing emotional support to individuals and their caregivers and link individuals to relevant health and social care services where necessary.

• Provide case management services from assessment, case management, working with systems, case conferences, and closure and to maintain proper and up to date case documentation
• Plan, coordinate, execute and evaluate on-going programmes and services, including outreach, on-site/online public education
• Conduct analysis, develop and implement mental health programmes and services to meet the needs and trends of the community
• Attend to enquiries and provide information and referral services
• Engage key community stakeholders to coordinate and implement mental health programmes
• Coordinate with other professionals and mobilise community resources for service delivery
• Provide supervision to junior caseworkers. Volunteer management and providing supervision for volunteers and interns
• Upkeep programme data, records, and documentation. Prepare and submit periodic reports for key stakeholders

Bachelor/Post or Graduate Diploma in Social Work

Requirements:

• Passion for mental health and/or seniors work
• At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience with good knowledge in area of community mental health and have experience in conducting group and community based programmes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• High proficiency in written and spoken English with good facilitation and presentation skills
• Able to speak in Mandarin and/or dialects would be essential for engagement with seniors
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with individuals and systems at multi-levels
• Good analytical and assessment skills
• Team player with an ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisation skills and structured.
