About You

About Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Team

The EDD team operates within the CMS framework and is primarily responsible for performing due diligence beyond what is performed by the KYC Team for customers with high-risk indicia. From a risk framework perspective, the EDD Team is situated within the first line of defence and works closely with Financial Crime to ensure the proper governance of high-risk customers at onboarding and refresh. World Central Kitchen is seeking a highly skilled chef, and innovative Manager to lead Culinary Operations on the ground to ensure the service of nourishing, comforting meals to disaster-affected communities. Key Responsibilities:

Activation Management

• Respond within four (4) hours notice to a disaster area to act as Culinary Manager, managing relief operations on the ground, or in rare cases, remotely.
• Lead and manage field teams specializing in culinary operations. Ensure strategic and streamlined implementation of relief activities on the ground, operationalizing WCK’s North Star values.

Culinary Operations 

• Design and manage high-volume production kitchens with locally led chef teams, ensuring the preparation of culturally appropriate meals for affected populations.  
• Direct and oversee multiple modalities of rapid food production, across many kitchens in low-resource, austere environments. 
• Create or advise on rotating menus; prepare order lists informed by local culinary partners, soliciting regular feedback from field teams and guaranteeing that all meals are culturally aligned and served with dignity and respect.
• Manage and liaise with the procurement and logistics team to predict future production capacity and timelines; maintaining daily pull lists, tight inventory, and procurement of fresh, high quality ingredients. 
• Guide and teach WCK culinary teams and vendor partners (restaurants, catering companies, food trucks etc) to adhere to high standards of food safety, temperature, quality, hygiene, and scalability. Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner to be ready for distribution teams. 

Budgeting and Logistics

• Work with the finance team and Response Director to share cost projections for culinary operations, focusing on meal production and logistical needs.
• Collaborate with the procurement and logistics team to source materials and supplies efficiently and ensure timely delivery to affected areas.

Personnel Management and Training

• Recruit, train, and motivate diverse culinary teams on activation, ensuring a high-performance culture aligned with WCK’s North Star. 
• Provide leadership, mentorship, training and support to team members, promoting a culture of urgency, accountability, adaptability and continuous learning within the team.
• Address personnel issues on activations in real time, and provide regular performance feedback on Corps members. 
• Support the recruitment of Corps members, and manage personnel effectively on the ground to foster growth and ensure a diverse pipeline of activation leadership.
• Identify professional development needs and gaps in culinary capabilities to arrange for appropriate training, and provide this feedback to relevant stakeholders for implementation.  

Community and Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships with local communities first.

Primary Purpose: The Merchandise Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all business processes, operations, and data management that support the Tapestry Asia wholesale and direct merchandising business channels. Business process includes supervising all operations relating to seasonal buy and wholesale markets including showroom/sample management, guest relations, third-party vendors, and not-for sale product management. The successful individual will be responsible for:

Showroom Management

• Manage key project milestones in conjunction with seasonal line opening schedule.
• Liaise and own end to end sample ordering process with Global Showroom, Global Merchandising, and Product Development team in NY.
• Coordinate and manage all relationships with third party vendor and suppliers such as venue landlords, catering & event planning, and design companies.
• Maintain samples library with clear systems and process in place for tracking.

Wholesale Market

• Support wholesale market process prep by liaising with product merchandising, global merchandising, VM and sales team on key product launches and ensure smooth market week activities.
• Manage the daily operations during seasonal wholesale markets of showroom space and appointments.
• Manage all NuORDER portals are up to date with latest product information for wholesale accounts and trouble shoot with internal data analytics and IT teams or any missing data.

Master Data Management

• Manage all customer and product master data updates and hierarchy changes to all systems (SAP, NuORDER, LMS, ecVision)
• Support wholesale account and distributors POS (Point of Sale) portal maintenance and working with account management to resolve any issues (ediCom).
• Publish and maintain seasonal Master SKU List publication for all product data

Not-For-Sale Product Management

• Own end to end ordering process for packaging and uniforms with suppliers including payment process
• Process bi-weekly Not For Sale (NFS) orders for wholesale accounts, coordinating with accounts services and logistics teams. Products includes packaging, uniforms, VM, marketing collaterals (GWP and PR samples).

Activation Management

Distribution Operations

• Rapidly develop and maintain effective processes for large-scale, timely and reliable delivery of meals, bulk products, food kits, and other resources to disaster-affected areas. 
• Organize, map and manage dynamic distribution plans and route schedules using visual aids.
• Manage accurate and timely operational information associated with suppliers, recipients, and meal deliveries; ensuring teams have oversight and knowledge of distribution information, as needed. 
• Research, recruit, onboard and manage food vendor partners (restaurants, catering companies, food trucks, etc) ensuring compliance with financial protocols and alignment with WCK culinary guidelines.
• Review and approve supplier invoices in collaboration with the Finance department. 
• Manage meal distribution utilizing multiple transportation mechanisms, including but not limited to, helicopters, planes, boats, and vehicles. 

Budgeting and Logistics

• Work with the finance team and Response Director to share cost projections for distribution operations, focusing on meal production and logistical needs.
• Collaborate with the procurement and logistics team to source materials and supplies efficiently and ensure timely delivery to affected areas.
• Ensure the proper handling and safeguarding of organizational resources on responses.

Personnel Management and Training

• Recruit, train, and motivate diverse distribution teams on activation, ensuring a high-performance culture aligned with WCK’s North Star. 
• Provide leadership, mentorship, training and support to team members, promoting a culture of urgency, accountability, adaptability and continuous learning within the team.
• Address personnel issues on activations in real-time, and provide regular performance feedback on Corps members.
