The Clinical Scientist MR (Market) is to promote Philips branding and innovations, develop, manage and steer partnership with the luminaries in the market. He/She also drives solid research collaborations, delivers research, education and support in integrated solutions, supports local commercial activities, and aligns with Business Clinical Science team on co-creation and innovations.
Philips MR Clinical Scientists are collaborating on a global scale with medical doctors and scientists of large, luminary hospitals in research projects with (clinical) applications based on the principles of Magnetic Resonance
- Be the knowledge expert on an assigned clinical / technical area of the product / solution / service
- Collaborate with strategic accounts (i.e. the entire cycle of clinical studies)
- Set up and manage research collaborations to evaluate new clinical applications and discuss innovations and generate local co-creations
- Actively strengthen a network of contacts in scientific community
- Provide advices and assistance to Sales, Marketing, R&D team on new technical and clinical developments, assists in writing technical documents
- Collaborate with medical doctors and physicists of Clinical Science sites in evaluating new clinical applications
- Keep up to date with innovations in the medical applications and technology in area of clinical expertise, via scientific literature, symposia and international conferences
- Participate in customer presentations during site visits or marketing /academic events
- Deliver research and education
- Prioritize KOL engagement based on Business and local market strategies
- Collate unmet clinical needs of the local Market and relay those to the responsible Business
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
- PhD degree in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering or other relevant technical background (candidates with MSc degree in above mentioned areas, complemented with at least 5 years of relevant experience in MR might qualify based on individual skills and personality)
- Doctoral thesis or series of scientific publications on MR related topic
- Experience in a clinical environment (e.g. radiology or cardiology department)
- Affinity with medical applications, general interest in healthcare issues
- Foreign professional experience (e.g. post doctoral fellowship) à This is not a critical factor.
- Proven writing and teaching skills
- Social skills(interaction with customers, other departments, sales organization)
- Highly communicative to members of multidisciplinary teams
- Strong analytical and experimental skills, independent problem solver
