Your key roles & responsibilities include:

• Work alongside stakeholders, such as Regional CxOs (CIO, COpO, and CCO), Tokyo Head Office, and business and product departments, to facilitate the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
• Serve as a bridge among Tokyo Head Office, Regional Head Office (APCF and other departments), and each branch/office in the region, helping maintain alignment of strategies and goals.
• Support the management and oversight of major regional projects, including ISO20022 and SEIBI, ensuring they stay on track and meet key milestones.
• Assist in creating and executing comprehensive strategic plans to elevate business infrastructures, aligning with our organizational goals.
• Foster open communication and coordination among diverse teams, contributing to their collective efforts towards successful implementation.
• Participate in the analysis of market trends, technology advancements, shedding light on the influence of strategic initiatives on business growth.
• Contribute to regular progress report for upper management, providing insights into the impact of strategic initiatives on business growth.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within P&C and broader organization.

What you should have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 10 years of experience in banking industry.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to acquire consensus among stakeholders.
• Business-level proficiency in both the English and Japanese languages will be advantageous as you are required to communicate, read and understand as well as respond and present to management and Japan (Head office). This includes system discussions, Q&A meetings, status update meetings and writing reports to management etc.
• Strong willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to team efforts.
• Ability to analyse situations and support the identification of opportunities for improvement.

• Evaluate intricate financial data, projections, and analyze industry and country-specific risks, providing concise summaries
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex credit structures and borrower profiles
• Enhance the quality and timeliness of documents, ensuring alignment with risk tolerance, policies, and procedures, while identifying key risks and mitigation strategies
• Present clear credit recommendations to the credit committee
• Submit credit proposals promptly within prescribed deadlines for approval by Credit Committees
• Maintain objectiveness in presenting credit risk management information to Credit Committees
• Review rating model inputs for accuracy, consistency, and relevance to assign Risk Ratings effectively
• Independently oversee and monitor critical elements of the credit process and timely escalation of credit risk issues and generate risk mitigation solutions
• Make sure documentation complies with credit procedures and bank policy
• Manage and review routine documentation for existing and new credit portfolios
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive database for managing security and collateral
• Prepare periodic and management information reports for the department

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the management of all Operational Accounting, Group Finance Function & Corporate Accounting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring all accounting activities comply with group accounting policies and SFRS.
• Providing monthly management reporting, extracting data from designed and structured templates with visual basics macros and SQL embedded.
• Responsible for all treasury & cash flow management matters, including forex gain & loss and establishing & maintaining internal controls and financial policies & procedures.
• Responsible for all tax matters, including submission of tax returns & related obligations.
• Analysing the current/past trends & key performance indicators including of all revenues, cost of sales, fixed cost, and capital expenditures.
• Managing the finance team and liaising with internal and external auditors in relation to audit requirements and deliverables, including preparation of audited financial statements.
• Overseeing the subsidiaries finance functions both locally & overseas.
• Any other task assigned by Reporting Officer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy with ACCA or CPA with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within Distribution or Logistics industry.
• Experienced in managing subsidiaries in China & Indonesia and dealing with chemicals & rubber products will be preferred.
• Experienced working in SMEs previously and willing to work in a small team will be preferred.
• Knowledge of basic programming knowledge and SQL is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Access and VBA (Macros).
• Familiar with Microsoft Business Central (NAVISION) & Dynamics 365.
