JOB PURPOSE

As a key team member of the GC&B team, work with the lead in the planning, formulation and review of C&B programmes and policies at the Group level, NHG’s institutions in attracting, motivating and retaining the right talents to support business strategies.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

C&B Partner

• Work closely with the Ministries on key sectoral C&B alignment, salary review and policy matters
• Work together closely with site HR on any policy change/deviation request to understand institutional needs and find solutions taking into consideration the system-wide impact. Review/propose recommendations and follow through to get necessary approvals from Senior Management
• Provide guidance on interpretation of C&B policies and practices. Provide consultative support and work with institutions under the NHG Group to roll out C&B programmes

General C&B

• Partner the Lead to manage C&B projects from end-to-end, including conceptualisation, simulations, implementation strategies, communications and change management
• Research and analyse information on compensation statistics, market sentiments and economic indicators to support C&B strategies and initiatives
• Keep abreast of local C&B best practices and legislative changes to ensure compliance
• Work closely with Policy team on review of Group HR policies and HR information systems to ensure alignment with changes to C&B programmes
• Perform job evaluations and job levelling exercises
• Participate in Group level workgroups/projects where C&B expertise is required e.g. conduct role analysis and job evaluation in job redesign exercises
• Participate in other ad-hoc HR projects and activities at the Group HR level as required

Annual Budgeting

• Drive annual HR budget planning and submission for Group C&B
• Plan, review and prepare manpower budget assumptions and projections for submission to Group Finance

Performance Management

• Work closely with the Group HR teams managing the annual performance management exercise, on managing timelines and support on compensation rewards matters. This will include the collation and analysis of cluster-wide annual Total Performance Management (TPM) results in order to simulate bonus and increment
• Prepare data/analysis, design compensation levers for review with Senior Management

Group Insurance

• As a key member of the GC&B team, work together with the other team members on annual Group insurance renewal and submission, working closely with insurance broker where necessary
• This may include working with broker to analyse trends and highlight areas of concern to Management e.g. claims experience, work injury trends etc
• Close liaison with site HR to ensure accurate reporting of data required for insurance renewal

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/Training/Experience

• Min Degree in HR Related field / Business Admin or equivalent
• At least 8-10 years relevant working experience in the area of Compensation & Benefits, and experience in healthcare is preferred
• Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in total rewards including salary structure design, salary reviews, market benchmarking competitiveness studies, job evaluation.
• Hands-on knowledge in job evaluation methodologies such as Korn Ferry Hay Group will be preferred.
• Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced skills in Excel preferred
• Well-versed in local employment laws and regulations such as Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act etc.
• Past experience in HRIS project and implementation will be advantageous.

• Ensure design validation and compliance with automotive safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IATF 16949), guaranteeing the seamless integration of battery systems into commercial EVs.
• Working with the simulation team to analyze the capabilities of the proposed solution, to improve the engineering design and system configuration and integration, thus, to strengthen the mechanical structure as well as prolong the system cycle life.
• Conduct risk assessments, oversee project execution, and coordinate with Durapower’s Suzhou plant for manufacturing, testing, and timely delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronic, Electrical and Electronic.
• 8–15 years of experience in automotive design and vehicle system integration projects, specifically incorporating EV HV battery solutions.

OPERATIONAL

• Ensure seamless service levels, including hiring and training crew.
• Rostering.
• Reservations management.
• Ensure restaurants have the correct “vibe” at all times; ensuring the sound, light, look of everything, including staff look/uniform/attitude reflects the brand.
• Ensure Marriott L&D and Lobster Inc training is assigned and completed constantly (learning never stops).
• Create, update and maintain all SOPs.
• Personally and frequently verify that the guests receiving the best possible service; respond to all Tripadvisor comments within 24 hours and all Marriott CFS alerts within 12 hours.
• Prepare and confirm all meeting/group proposals and contracts.
• Manage all aspects of F&B Operations, including, restaurant service operations (breakfast, lunch, executive lounge, dinner, Bar, Events); communication with culinary team; rosters across hotels, etc.
• Assist in maintaining strong team performance by regularly reviewing KPI’s and goals against performance and realigning strategies according to results; perform performance reviews per schedule.
• Entertaining guests in a consistent, professional and positive attitude. • Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness per Singapore Government and Marriott Standards.
• Maintain and renew all needed licenses.
• Plan, control and ensure execution of all maintenance work, including logging in GXP and recording methodology.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of all food and beverage items served; inventory management and reporting routinely.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Ensure that restaurants/bars are financially successful as independent profit centres - by driving and soliciting business opportunities.
• Fully responsible and accountable for the restaurant revenue and profitability, to ensure that the operational budget is adhered to and that all costs are controlled and expenditures pre-approved.
• Continuously seek ways to maximise revenue and profit through sales calls, networking events, partnerships and cooperation.
• Coordinate with Business Development – F&B Team any event enquiries, and perform all the necessary follow-up to ensure all events are carried out successfully; Maintain an active trace/follow-up system on all personal sales calls.
• Coordinate efficiently all event sales-related responses with Business Development – F&B Team with the aim of ‘closing the deal’.
• Create and update all restaurant online/offline information alongside Sales & Marketing Team, and distribute necessary information and write-ups internally and externally.
• Establish good rapport with guests, maintain good relationships and handle all feedback, requests and enquiries on food, beverage and service.
• Develop and refine a comprehensive mailing list/database for clients in conjunction with room-side mailchimp database, and maintain a regular communication to this database on the F&B offers of the hotels to encourage new and repeat business.
• Maintain/monitor all online booking platforms, including but not limtied to Chope, HGW.
• Maintain/monitor alongside Sales & Marketing Team all-Digital marketing/booking platforms for Restaurants e.g., Facebook; IG; YouTube; EDMs; Chope, Quandoo, HungreyGoWhere, STB/TIH, and Websites to be populated with relevant posts about Restaurant.
• Proactively remain relevant in media by providing new events/articles/photos to various publication
• Any other duties / tasks as requested by management.

Job Description

1. Manages group room enquiries (10 or more rooms / people) and related functions, dealing from receipt of request to contracting and payment.

2. Liaise with in-house departments for a quick and smooth execution and conversion of group business. Maintains ownership of group blocks, including pickup numbers, reservation methods, billing, and proper treatment of VIP guests.

3. Manages site inspections, organizing visits, room allocation, inspection of rooms and coordinates all departments to execute a perfect showcase of the hotel, providing accurate information on visitors

4. Speaks with others using clear and professional language; prepares and reviews written documents accurately and completely; answers telephones using appropriate etiquette.

5. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others; listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

6. To meet and exceed individual assigned sales goal and shared responsibility for team members for achievement of total department sales budget.

7. To conduct 5 sales calls daily and 3 sales activities ie Entertainment & Site Inspection per week.

8. To identify and develop new potential accounts (to prospect at least 2 new accounts per week).

9. Develop sales plans to generate business from identified markets/accounts.

10. Determine corporate account needs and initiate sales activities of each assigned market/account to enable future bookings.

11. Continuously communicate the benefits and ongoing promotions of the hotel to the customer.

12. Management and growth of corporate accounts by tracking individual transient, group and catering production goals.

13. Negotiate transient rates for assigned accounts.

14. Prospect new business through phone solicitation, physical sales calls, site inspections, trade shows, sales blitz, e-mail, research via newspapers & online resources.

15. Gather market intelligence: new product ideas, competition activities, new customer trends and performance.

16. Be actively involved in ensuring prompt follow-up on incoming phone calls, site inspections, proposal / inquiries. Accuracy in booking, commitments to customer on all sales/operational documents and adhering to the standards set by the department in execution and filing of all said documents.

17. Be a team player motivating peers and subordinates in support of department goals in sales and operations. To manage and develop Interdepartmental relations while not compromising customer satisfaction, revenue, profitability or associate morale of department / Hotel. To initiate team building activities.

18. To adhere to personal behavioral norms of integrity such as grooming, ownership, contactability, accountability, responsibility, visibility and punctuality.

19. Perform any other duties assigned by owner according to changing business, economic, customer needs or restructure within Sales & Marketing Department.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial information and prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly, and ad hoc reports.
• Review reports from the shared services center and finalize Principal reports (e.g., IFC, Business Plan).
• Prepare and finalize budgets and forecasts, coordinating across departments for timely submission.
• Handle group consolidations, including adjustments, working files, and reports.
• Manage tax reporting and submissions for statistics and surveys.
• Analyze KPIs, operating expenses, capital expenditures, and balance sheet positions.
• Perform variance analysis by comparing actual vs. budget/forecast performance.
• Monitor cash flow for Singapore’s Group and prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly treasury reports.
• Assist in ad hoc treasury-related projects and manage cash flow projections
