Job Scope:

- Handle Day-To-Day Business Operations of Singapore's #1 Education Agency

- Attend to interested clients via various forms of warm leads (form orders, calls, WhatsApp, etc.)

(no cold-calling or anything of that sort)

• Identify, qualify, and select vendors of materials, equipment, products, or services, and conduct overall supplier management.

• Clarifying doubts with vessels to get accurate quotes as many times info or specs given are not complete or not correct.
• Identify and implement standard procedures and guidelines for tracking purchasing costs. Logistics, and shipping procedures.
• To conduct periodic vendors appraisals and price comparisons.
• Arrangement of servicing and services towards meeting Class requirements such as Class Annuals and other related services.
• Ensure that proper cost/benefits evaluations are made prior to bringing forward any recommendations.
• To oversee the entire purchasing documentation process and ensure quarterly cost reports are submitted.
• Oversee and ensure that all invoices are correctly matched to PO and DO. Ensure all invoices are checked and input of the relevant account codes on the invoices.
• Oversee and ensure that all invoices are approved by the relevant person and passed to accounts in a timely manner.
• Communication with clients for approvals incl. of checking and monitoring the status of various requisitions.

Requirements and Experience: (Essential skills, qualifications, and experience)

• Previous experience of a minimum of 3 to 5 years as an experienced purchaser specifically for Offshore vessels (Subsea, OSV etc.), trading worldwide is a must.
• Additionaly experience with ocean going conventional vessels will be an added advantage.
• A high-level understanding of purchasing regulations and governing industry guidelines.
• Experience in managing logistics (delivery, supply chain) requirements for purchased items such as spares, stores etc.
