JOB ROLE DESCRIPTION

The duties assigned will be varied; these will include but not be limited to the following:

· Maintain full set of accounts for various companies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company accounting policy;

· Provide guidance and supervisory to accounting support staff;

· Prepare financial management report, statutory report, analysis and reconciliation;

· Manage intercompany billing and reconciliation;

· Able to manage external auditors and overseeing the audit;

· Responsible for the accounting file management for the companies assigned, including the historic files;

· Work closely with Group finance team for accounting, control, reporting and compliance matters; including overseas subsidiaries and related companies;

· Monitor actual spending vs approved vessel budget and prepare monthly management reports and analyse major variances

· Manage annual audit and liaising with external auditors;

REQUIREMENTS:

· Diploma in Accounting or ACCA level 2 equivalent;

· At least 4 years of accounting experience, strong accounting knowledge;

· Good working knowledge of accounting standards and GST regulation

· Possess a keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data

· Able to hands-on and deadline oriented

· Strong people management, interpersonal and good communication skill– both written and

· Knowledge of group consolidation is an added advantage

· Experience in Oil & Gas Accounting experience will be added advantage

Duties:

• Lead cost-saving initiatives through Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE) or Design to Cost (DTC).
• Ensure timely and well-tracked cost reductions.
• Oversee the product lifecycle from entry to end-of-life.
• Represent the organization in cost-related initiatives.
• Compile and provide necessary reporting.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelors Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commodity / project management with supply chain and engineering
• Experience in VAVE is required.

A team of accountants with various levels and different skill sets, 50% of the team are in Singapore and the remaining 50% are overseas. We manage a large portfolio of clients from many different industry sectors, completing their payroll, bookkeeping, financial statements, corporate tax and many other accounting and tax services.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Lead a team of accounting executives and ensure on-time and accurate delivery of accounting, tax, payroll and related services for an international client base
• Liaise with and advise clients on accounting, compliance, taxation and related matters
• Work closely with the team to ensure high quality delivery of all services
• Manage and build long-term relationships with clients (internal and external) and with the objective to maximise clients’ satisfaction and the organisation revenue
• Provide the necessary expertise, advice, and guidance to the team members in all relevant areas including financial accounting, preparation of financial statements, taxation, payroll, GST, etc.
• Liaise with statutory bodies, audit firms and partners as necessary
• Expand and grow service offerings to increase revenue for the department
• Work with Biz Dev & Marketing team in business development activities such as preparing write-ups on relevant topics, participating in talks, seminars, events, etc.
• Write and design SOPS and process and procedures where necessary
• Help to train and deliver training to the team
• Update the team on FRS’s and stay prudent
• Assist the HOD with projects, reporting and overall management of the team

Required Skills & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA, Singapore or equivalent qualification) with at least 10 years of accounting & tax experience
• Possess relevant people management knowledge and skills with at least 4 years in a managerial role
• Work experience in Accounting and Tax Firms
• Good understanding of the related regulatory policies
• Excellent accounting & tax knowledge with strong sense of business acumen
• Ability to manage, lead and ensure highest quality services provided by the team
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, especially working with international clients
• Ability to organise and prioritize work with minimum supervision
• A leader and team player with a can-do attitude with strong initiative and thrives in a fast-growing organisation with the ability to pay attention to detail and work to tight deadlines
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to provide strong references

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with running finance-related activities for the Company and its subsidiaries. This includes financial evaluations, refining internal processes, budget management, financial operations, and statutory reporting.
• Oversee financial reporting and monitoring, contribute to operational improvements and robust internal controls.
• Supervise routine accounting tasks, including but not limited to handling payments, billing, maintaining the general ledger, and overseeing tax matters.
• Lead the company through detailed budget preparations for strategic planning exercises.
• Build strong relationships with top management, external partners, and stakeholders.
• Compare the company's budget with actual spending and analyze discrepancies.
• Observe and manage the flow of cash to meet the company's needs.
• Confirm that the company is adhering to legal requirements and policies.
• Embed and maintain a risk and compliance management framework within the company.
