Credit Control Matters

Working capital control

• You lead the Singapore based financial control team and be responsible for continuing to build out the high performing team.

Support Trading Department (Front Office) in handling internal applications, paperwork, and processes related to the administration of our customers’ or counterparties’ credit lines. This includes, but not limited to:

We are seeking a dedicated Letter of Credit Executive to join a dynamic team at an International Trading House. You will play a crucial role in facilitating the import and export operations of letters of credit (LC) and ensuring seamless liaison between various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management and processing of letters of credit (LC) for import and export transactions.
• Review LC terms and conditions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Liaise with banks, suppliers, and customers to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to LC documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as procurement, sales, and logistics to facilitate LC-related activities.
• Monitor LC transactions throughout the lifecycle, from issuance to settlement, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and controls to enhance LC processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimun 2 years of proven experience in trade finance, with a focus on letters of credit (LC).

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for preparing robust credit applications for Corporates (Global Subsidiary Banking) across a variety of industries in country and across the region. Also, support in monitoring the department/Branch credit portfolio including but not limited to borrower ratings, credit due date control and collaterals to identify any credit risks to the department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders within MUFG
• Work in partnership with colleagues across the region to deliver an integrated service for our customers.
• Work in partnership with Relationship Managers in the country to support the team in resolving any complex credit processes or credit operational issues
• Work in partnership with Relationship Managers and Credit department in other Branches to support transactions booked in other Branches balance sheet

Job Requirements

• Degree qualified
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Corporate Credit analyst in banking industry
• Experience in preparing credit application including cashflow projection
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Strong analytical skills to interpret large and complex data sets and ability to identify implications of data sets.
• Good communication and presentation skills with ability to influence others using complex data or analysis to support line of reasoning.
