Major Responsibilities

Supervisory

• Oversee and supervise a team of assigned customer service officers and ensures comply with company guidelines particularly related to quality of service.
• Improve Customer Service Officers communication skills by conducting training on Hoya’s ophthalmic lenses and optics related topics.
• Proficiency with all the in-house systems and tools, provide training and coaching to Customer Service Officers.
• A point of contact for demanding customer inquiries or complaints that require escalation beyond the Customer Service Officers.
• Coordinate daily workload with customer service team according to operation plan.
• Continuously review standard operating processes and workflows to identify ways to improve and increase customer satisfaction.

Customer Service

• Manage incoming phone calls, identify, and assess customer’s needs to achieve satisfaction.
• Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
• Resolve product or service problems by clarifying customer’s complaint, determining the cause of problem, and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Handling reports related to complaints, feedback and product issues from internal and external.
• Ensure all orders are entered in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.

Back-end Processing

• Receive and process incoming orders through phone calls, emails, fax, and online ordering system. And ensure that customer orders are processed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure proper tracking on all the orders, liaise with factory, and updates customer on the estimated delivery timing.
• Coordinate & liaise closely with various internal departments & external parties to ensure timely service delivery for customers

Others

Qualifications

Education:

• Diploma in Optometry or equivalent

Experience:

• Preferred 2 years of relevant working experience in optical retails

Attend field service ticket assigned by helpdesk, working on the ticket with status update, interrupt the ticket whenever necessary, close ticket when done with resolution. Follow up with interrupt tickets. Maintain a good manner for parts handling, for return & disposal.

Installs, debugs and provides technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software, mainly on customer premises. Provides scheduled inspection, cleaning and other services and performs minor product repairs within an assigned territory. Inspects products for correct operation and resolves noted issues and / or escalates according to established procedure. Schedules services, completes all required paperwork and works with customers to ensure satisfaction with service delivery and understanding of product functionality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Gains familiarity with Field Service Technician practices and procedures.

· With guidance and / or in conjunction with more experienced technicians performs any or all of the following: Incident Handling: Utilizes diagnostic tools to perform troubleshooting via detailed analysis of hardware and software failures.

· Performs hardware repairs on a component level.

· Cleans and adjusts mechanical components.

· Configures and installs applicable software.

· Preventive Maintenance: Performs routine checks according to documented procedures.

· Refills consumables as directed.

· IMAC/R: Installs, moves, adds, changes and removes hardware and software products.

· Customer Training: Instructs and trains customers on usage and operation of installed hardware and software.

· Participates in regular hardware and software trainings (on the job, classroom and web based).

· Participates in the implementation of measures to achieve agreed KPIs.

· Assists with special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Field Services.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic Mandarin language skill required due to operational needs.
• Exceptional customer service skills are needed.
• Ability to organize and inventory truck stock parts and tools.
• Sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence and work in team environment.
• Ability to pass MVR, background and drug test where required.

The Opportunity:

Lead regional initiatives to implement field service topics and drive digital service adoption in line with the Global Support Strategy 2030. Act as a product owner for field service processes and tools, manage the APAC affiliate teams’ community of practice, and provide consulting on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Develop and test prototypes for strategic initiatives, collaborate with global teams, and propose a vision for strategic alignment and organizational mobilization. You will report to the APAC Service Consulting Team Manager Service & Support.

As the Service Consulting Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Create the vision for the product you will own, identify and prioritise the business needs for the product, identify the value proposition and ensure the values are being delivered

Who you are:
