Regional Finance Manager

Sephora seeks to appoint a Regional Finance Manager (for SEA, India and Oceania), reporting to the Regional Finance Director. The Regional Finance Manager will partner closely with regional leaders within the organisation (especially across Marketing, E-Commerce, Technology, and our Franchise business), providing insightful financial guidance to drive strategic decision-making and optimise business outcomes. • Serving as a strategic finance business partner to regional functions (Marketing, E-Commerce, Technology, and Franchise), offering proactive financial advice and support to drive commercial success

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

• At least 8 years of professional experience with solid accounting, finance management, FP&A background, preferably from the retail or FMCG industry
• Prior experience in financial controlling is a plus
• Regional experience is a plus
• Experience in partnering with commercial functions within similar industries will be of advantage (ie. Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain etc)
• Proficiency in SAP, Jedox and/or other performance management software
• Dynamism, energy, and drive to Succeed
• Strong commercial acumen with a proactive and results-oriented approach

• Job Description:
• Responsible for both profit & loss plus customer satisfaction.
• Lead a team of salon staffs to provide excellent services, maximize profit and follow all health and safety regulations.
• In charge of hiring, training and dismissing staff members and managing the salon's day-to-day activities.
• Schedule in house promotions and staffs roaster to ensure adequate coverage for the salon's needs.
• Resolve customer complaints and provide solutions to staff disputes.
• Account for and report profits and expenses of the salon.
• Prepare and maintain sales, inventory and customer reports.
• Manage inventory salon products by maintaining records of stock quantities on hand and ordering replacement items.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Client Collaboration

Provide leadership and direction to software delivery teams, acting as the key technical point of contact in client discussions to propose and implement solutions.

Software Architecture & Development

Design and develop software systems and applications that meet the specific needs of clients, users, and other stakeholders.

Requirements Planning & Scheduling

Collaborate with the Project Manager and Scrum Master(s) to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to schedule. Review project requirements and create detailed work plans, using agile methodologies like daily stand-ups and sprints to achieve critical milestones.

Team Collaboration & Technical Viability

Partner with developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software systems and applications are technically feasible and optimized for efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication

Act as the intermediary between team members, management, and clients to ensure project deliverables align with expectations and defined scope.

Technical Guidance & Problem-Solving

Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to the development team, leading efforts to resolve technical issues.

Documentation & Information Sharing

Create and maintain technical documentation, design plans, and other necessary materials to support effective communication and teamwork.

System Improvement Recommendations

Assess and recommend upgrades or modifications to existing software systems to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.

Innovation & Industry Trend Adoption

Stay updated on new software development trends and technologies, incorporating these into design and development practices. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., SGTS, GCC, IM8, etc.)

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in technology / software sales or pre-sales consulting
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture (on-prem/cloud), database architecture and networking
• 7+ years in software and systems design and implementation, including development of mobile applications
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a strong portfolio of software systems, applications designed and developed of project delivery is preferred
• Proficiency in software development languages such as Java, Python, C++, or others
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies (e.g. Agile, SCRUM)
• Experience in a customer-facing, sales aligned role, presenting to small and large audiences
