Job description

We are seeking a research officer to drive data management and analysis of large-scale biomedical multi-omics and clinical data. The candidate will be expected handle a number of tasks, including curate and QC incoming large-scale multi-omics data, implement and benchmark bioinformatics workflows, perform downstream analysis, develop file catalogues, databases, knowledge graphs and visualization of datasets, and implement international data standards to ensure data interoperability. The successful candidate will also extensively mine, analyze and curate publicly available resources and develop annotation tools and databases to link up with available datasets of different diseases, including cancer and metabolic diseases. The candidate will also manage and maintain all data in a database structure and develop a searchable web portal for researchers and clinicians. This position offers the candidate an opportunity to gain expert knowledge in multi-dimensional data from cancer and other diseases, and become computationally competent in delivering these knowledge to the end-user.

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Genetics, Biology or a related field.
• Preferably with at least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficient programming skills (e.g. Python, R, RStudio, Jupyter Notebook, Shinyapps)

Project Master Data Creation & Maintenance

• Create and maintain SAP master data for grants and funds (e.g. WBS, fund, cost centre) in a timely manner upon request from stakeholders and in accordance with SOPs
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of supporting documents provided by stakeholders.
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies in master data or documentation.
• Perform closing and re-opening of project codes timely as required to facilitate operations.
• Perform checks on master data, flagging exceptions for follow-up and resolution.
• Ensure projects/grants documentation (e.g. Letter of Awards, variation approvals) are well organised and maintained.

Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly management reports to Management and supporting entities

The Cash Product Management Team is seeking a Data Quality and Control Specialist who will drive forward the Data Product pillar data risk and control transformation compliance agenda within the Cash Product team, based in Singapore.

• Drive forward with the global product owner’s data risk prioritization to improve the control landscape.

Your skills and experience:

We are seeking a research officer to drive data management and analysis of large-scale biomedical multi-omics and clinical data. The candidate will be expected handle a number of tasks, including curate and QC incoming large-scale multi-omics data, implement and benchmark bioinformatics workflows, perform downstream analysis, develop file catalogues, databases, knowledge graphs and visualization of datasets, and implement international data standards to ensure data interoperability. The successful candidate will also extensively mine, analyze and curate publicly available resources and develop annotation tools and databases to link up with available datasets of different diseases, including cancer and metabolic diseases. The candidate will also manage and maintain all data in a database structure and develop a searchable web portal for researchers and clinicians. SIA has multiple positions for generative AI/deep learning experts to drive our AI and data science initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Member of the in-house AI Center-of-Excellence team that works on challenging problems in advanced AI (including areas on generative multimodal AI, autonomous agent, NLP, computer vision, recommender system), mathematical optimization, game theory, and experimental design.
• Research and develop advanced machine learning algorithms to meet complex product requirements. The scope includes defining hypotheses, executing necessary tests and experiments; evaluating, tuning and optimizing algorithms and methods; and having an eye towards cloud implementation ease, scalability, and robustness in a live customer facing production environment.
