Primary Responsibilities

• Perform physical and technical tasks of intermediate & escalated complexity on Data Center infrastructure equipment including but not limited to servers infrastructure, network infrastructure, or other equipment on the DC floor, without immediate supervision.

• Work alongside Technicians in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, and cabling (requires moving and racking equipment)

• Fix broken servers (replace hard drives, replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.).

• Use hardware/software tools and workflows (automation) in support of these tasks.

• Strictly follow all policies, processes, and procedures related to the activities and data center environment.

• Perform maintenance on a timely basis with adequate recordkeeping.

• Maintain equipment in running order with minimal downtime.

• Ensure a safe working environment and perform maintenance in a safe manner.

Requirements

• NITEC in IT or technical based qualifications.

• Familiar and comfortable using and working with IT equipment and software.

• Experience in repair of electronics components of computers.

- To take pre-emptive measures to prevent any outage or single point of failure in the Data Centre due to environmental factors. - To liaise and coordinate with the Customer’s appointed third-party vendors for the servicing of computer equipment hardware.

- To document and track all equipment in the Data Centre. The format of documentation shall be approved by the Customer.

- To establish capacity plans by analyzing current Data Centre resources based on current load and information given by the Customer on future growth requirement.

- To carry out annual capacity planning for the Data Centre at dates mutually agreed by the Customer, so as to project the requirements of UPS, power points, network, rack space and other Data Centre peripherals resources needed.

- The capacity plan report shall be submitted to the Customer within TWO (2) weeks upon the completion of planning.

Requirement – DC Operations

Shall provide Data Centre (DC) operations at the Customer’s premises and premises identified by the Customer. The DC Operations shall cover the following:

1. DC Environment Support; and

2. DC Facilities Management Services.

DC Environment Support

Shall monitor the facilities infrastructure in the DC to ensure that they are within the operating levels defined by the Customers. The infrastructure to be monitored shall minimally include:

(a) Power infrastructure (such as Uninterrupted Power Supply and power distribution boards);

(b) Cooling Infrastructure (such as computer room air-conditioning units);

(c) Fire detection and suppression systems (such as FM200, water sprinklers, fire extinguishers);

(d) Environment monitoring system (such as humidity and temperature); and

(e) Water leakage detection.

(f) Shall ensure the DC infrastructure is monitored on twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

(g) The Vendor shall inform the Customer within one (1) hour when problems are detected.

(h) Shall work with the Customer and Customer-appointed Supplier to resolve any infrastructure issues detected in accordance to the support hours as required by the Customer.

DC Facilities Management Services

(a) Shall ensure, through daily inspection, that the general cleanliness and tidiness of the data centre are maintained by the Customer-appointed Supplier.

(b) Shall work with Customer-appointed Supplier on site preparation tasks such as network cabling and electrical wiring, when required.

(c) Shall ensure the network cabling in the data centre and within the racks are neat and tidy.

(d) Shall work with the Customer-appointed Supplier for both scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, servicing, repair and upgrading works to the infrastructure at the Customer’s premises and premises identified by the Customer.

(e) Shall plan and coordinate the maintenance activities. This includes polling the affected parties, obtaining the Customer’s approval, and sending out messages to inform the affected party.

(f) Shall obtain the Customer’s approval before finalizing the plan for any activity.

(g) Shall provide on-site support during the maintenance activities unless otherwise agreed by the Customer.

(h) Shall maintain up-to-date documentation of the data centre design layouts.

(i) Shall manage the physical security of the data centre in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Customer.

(j) Shall monitor the following physical security infrastructure to ensure they are within the operating levels defined by the Customer:

• Develop advance statistical and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from large and complex data sets, and work with internal engineering team to evaluate the effectiveness of the algorithms
• Collaborate with global data engineering teams to share best practices and work on cross- functional projects that require data science expertise
• Manage and maintain the internal analytics solutions, supporting continuous development and implementation, and ensuring that data integrity and accuracy are always maintained
• Develop and conduct training sessions for local engineers on data analytics skills such as JMP/KNIME & Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Degree/Master in Microelectronics, Data Science or a related field with Minimum 3 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, semiconductor fabrication factory, semiconductor parts/peripherals or related industry
• Proven working experience as a Data Scientist in the semiconductor industry with a focus on plasma dry Etch process
• Ability to develop and implement algorithms for process optimization and problem solving
• Strong knowledge of data analytics methodologies, statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and predictive modelling
• Proficiency in using various data science tool sets and programming skills (e.g., Python, JSL, R etc.) for data manipulation, visualization, and analysis
