Job Description:

• Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned and report to the OIM on the day-to-day management and long-range stewardship of the rig
• Efficiently manage subordinates and ensure all operations are carried out in a safe and conscientious manner and responsible for correcting or notifying responsible persons of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist
• Provide support, safety leadership and on-site supervision of all marine activities on the rig

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safe, reliable and cost effective maintenance and repair of the fleet and facilities by effectively planning and managing the workshop resources to maximise efficiency and productivity, in the process ensuring that scheduled work is completed on time and within budget, making due allowance for effectively dealing with the unscheduled work that arises during the course of daily operations. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

• Responsible for running and updating the vehicle inspection, servicing and MOT plans on the computerised fleet management system.
• Responsible for allocating the details of the repeat and breakdown defects to the relevant Engineering Supervisor and ensuring that adequate remedial action is taken.

• Leads multiple project teams of other software engineers and firmware engineers, including internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms from NPI through Sustaining.

The IT Engineer provides support to employees experiencing technical problems and performs troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, resolution, and escalations.
