Job Description

Job Scope :

· Monitoring and managing the entire customer service process

• Resolving customer issues brought to our attention in a timely and effective manner

• Creating procedures and policies for effective customer service

• Liaising with other functions such as marketing, business development and partnership to align customer service goals and initiatives

• Proactively review customer journeys to identify opportunities for improvements to achieve excellent customer experience

• Create presentations, training materials and conduct trainings / briefing sessions to on-site and off-site operations team

• Continuously embrace technology and innovation to simplify or automate tasks for operation processes to drive cost savings and efficiency

• Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are kept updated

• Provide administrative support and perform ad-hoc duties as assigned

The role

OneOcean specialize in maritime data and believe in a Total Voyage approach that unites data, processes, and workflows to create a flexible and easy-to-use platform for appraisal, planning, reporting, and monitoring. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be a key member of our team, working closely with our clients to understand their unique challenges and design custom solutions that leverage our platform to address their specific needs.

You’ll collaborate with our sales, product, and marketing teams to develop and present technical solutions that solve business challenges. You will use your expertise to help our clients unlock the full potential of our platform, enabling them to streamline their operations achieve business goals.

Here’s what your day-to-day will look like in this role:

• Collaborating with the sales team to provide detailed product information and knowledge to existing and potential customers
• Develop a deep level of product knowledge and skillfully answer product and industry-related questions during the sales cycle
• Create and deliver proposals and presentations that meet customer requirements and objectives
• Frequent travel to customer sites and industry events
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices including competitive differentiation and positioning
• Liaise with Marketing & Product Teams to help define development priorities and marketing collateral based on market requirements and growth opportunities

What you bring

• Maritime experience with strong understanding of navigation and compliance
• Degree in related field
• Previous years of experience in a similar role, such as software ERP software development/sales, or technical consulting in product development
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communication and presentation skills
• Interpersonal skills (Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams)
• Understanding of sales cycle and solution selling processes

JOB TITLE: Finance Director

DEPARTMENT: Finance /Accounting

REPORTS TO: CEO and CGO

We are looking for an experienced financial controller who is looking to grow your career to the next level.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

· The ability to create an environment of control and economic responsibility for the Group and its various subsidiaries.

· The ability to develop and maintain staff structure.

· The ability to implement group accounting policies and requirements.

· The ability to ascertain the efficient and effective utilization of the Group financial resources and to establish proper systems & controls.

· The ability to safeguard the group assets from any possible losses.

· The ability to update the books and records in an accurate and timely manner.

· The ability to comply with all statutory requirements. Singapore and international accounting policies & procedures.

· The ability to be accountable for the entire financial operation and Control.

· The ability to prepare budgets and various financial monthly / quarterly reports as per the various shareholders requirements.

· The ability to oversee all monetary assets of the Group.

· The ability to directly supervise and be accountable for the following functions: accounting, purchasing, stores, cost control, credit control, and cashiering.

· The ability to liaise closely with operational managers to ensure maximum utilization of the company’s financial resources in accordance with the budgetary guidelines.

· The ability to direct accounting department with functional guidelines.

· The ability to advise shareholders of the financial impacts for various strategic plans and ad hoc projects.

· The ability to have contributory responsibility for the establishment & implementation financial management and internal control standards.

· The ability to maintain and monitor financial policies.

· The ability to implement & maintain proper internal control procedures.

· The ability to assist in the creation of operational guidelines and procedures.

· The ability to compile and monitor operating budgets and capital budgets.

· The ability to achieve maximum contributions and cooperation from Department with regards to cost control.

· The ability to schedule, hire and train all accounting personnel.

· The ability to control all costs, expenses and labor.

· The ability to schedule and conduct monthly staff meetings to maintain good communication and high morale standards within the department.

· The ability to work with all departments to meet their needs as it relates to Accounting.

· The ability to submit yearly capital improvement program budget to management as well as yearly budgets for labor and operating expenses with relation to forecast.

· The ability to conduct performance evaluations in accordance with policies disciplines and makes recommendations for termination of accounting personnel or any other areas of the company.

· The ability to contribute to the strategic business planning.

· The ability to effectively communicate with staff and other departmental employees.

· The ability to provide effective leadership within the Department & throughout the organization.

· The ability to provide financial input for future products, projects, strategies, innovative plans and direction and monitor its progress.

· The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Shareholders.

Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field

· 4-5 years of financial or accounting experience

· Personal integrity; ability to keep company confidences

· Experience with Sun System, excellent knowledge of Excel

· Comfort with the cyclicality of the role and the peaks and valleys of the workload, particularly around the quarter-end close
