We are looking for a versatile and hardworking Cook/Student Care Helper/Cleaner to join our student care center, serving children aged 7 to 9. This multifaceted role involves preparing meals and snacks, assisting in student care activities, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, basic cooking skills, and an eye for cleanliness and organization.
Cooking & Meal Preparation:
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks for children based on a weekly menu, following dietary guidelines.
- Maintain proper food hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Manage kitchen supplies and ensure adequate stock of ingredients.
- Prepare special meals for children with dietary restrictions or allergies as required.
Student Care Assistance:
- Assist in supervising children during activities and mealtime.
- Help children with basic needs, including mealtime assistance and ensuring their well-being.
- Support in the daily care and well-being of children
- Promote a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the student care center, including classrooms, dining areas, and kitchen.
- Ensure regular cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces, furniture, and high-contact areas.
- Dispose of trash and ensure proper waste management.
Other responsbilities:
- Collaborate with the student care team to ensure the center runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Follow safety and health guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe environment for children and staff.
- Assist with setting up for events, activities, or outings when necessary.
Requirements:
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Experience working in a student care, childcare, or cleaning role is preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties in a dynamic environment.
- Physically fit to handle cleaning tasks and assist with the care of children.
- Friendly, patient, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English to communicate with children, staff and parents.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm
Salary:
$10/hour
